Maybe it won’t. Or maybe one company changing its culture may lead others to do so as well, which may eventually make a difference. And who knows what the answer is. But throwing our hands up in the air and not doing anything isn’t working either.

For the record, i don't care what Dicks does. I very rarely shop there anyway. Everything they have is over priced. This will change nothing for me and probably most people.

Agreed. Yet when a company like Dick’s decides to take some action, the pro gun crowd goes nuts. It’s going to us as a society to come up with a solution. And whether you believe it’s a gun problem or a people problem we need to figure something out.

Because when a company makes a decision like this people will voice their opinions. It's who we are. If we disagree with someone we make it known.

The NRA is nothing more than lobby for gun rights and the 2A. They will fight and lobby against any ban of any thing guns. It's what they are supposed to do. It's up to the elected officials to make the decisions. This goes for any group/topic. Just kills me when people blame the lobby.
