So someone calls the police and says I'm afraid Joe Schmo is going to try to shoot up a school. There's not going to be a conviction there.

I think it should cause a hold to be placed on their application until it's sufficiently reviewed. Obviously this requires law enforcement to do their job and properly investigate these accusations thoroughly.

It’s more of a dig at their stock falling from $60 to $30 since 2016 since after all we were talking about how it will impact their business. I know you don’t follow the market but that doesn’t appeal to investors and when they drive off a few more customers, that isn’t good. Also, if they were any good at selling sporting supplies their stock wouldn’t be at $30. But that doesn’t account for HC purchasing a football yesterday.

 

I just want to try to make up for that business that some BGPers are taking away. :lol2:

 

Speaking of stocks maybe Dick's was trying to distance itself from gun makers. Those stocks have tumbled since 2016 and even more since the Parkland shooting.

Maybe it won’t. Or maybe one company changing its culture may lead others to do so as well, which may eventually make a difference. And who knows what the answer is. But throwing our hands up in the air and not doing anything isn’t working either.

And if it's been properly investigated and no charges were filed, and no one was convicted, why would it go on a background?
