Reese Smith leads the Rebels with 21. Baby J gets 15 points and 5 assists.

Brayden Sebastian paces the Golden Lions with 15 & 10.

Per Matt Overing.

WHO YA WITH!

Really sloppy game overall but a very hard fought game. Loved the intensity especially in the 2nd half. Reese Smith was everywhere tonight and Baby J did his thing.

Good effort by my Lions! They had every opportunity to knock the Rebs off. I would've liked to see our PG healthy down the stretch, but the Rebs are a gritty team and earned the W. I would like to thank Coach Young for injecting life back into our program, and the work of our Seniors this season

Reese Smith is a wonderful player. Football or basketball, I don't see that he does anything wrong. I wish he lived in Lancaster!

Garrard played so well, especially considering they were without their point guard for much of the night. Boyle's three-quarter court press late in the third forced several turnovers. Garrard still had several good looks late and even missed a late layup to tie the game, but Boyle made foul shots down the stretch.

Young has done a great job and they've got a few nice pieces returning next year. I just hope he stays.

Terrific effort by the seniors, especially Carter Moss. Moss is far from the best athlete or player we've ever had but he always plays hard and his defense on Slone tonight was terrific. I'm proud to have taught all four seniors in class and of the way they always represented our school and community. They have much to be proud of.

He was fantastic tonight. I was texting with his dad across the floor all night and I'm not sure who's blood pressure was higher!

Slone couldn't get any good looks. He got a couple layups off some back door cuts and that's it really. Garrard County had a good game plan and executed it really well. If they got a few more breaks offensively we might be singing a different song.

Even if he lived in Lancaster, he would still be at Boyle County lol they get all of Garrard County's best players.

Exciting game and it played out exactly how I expected and hoped it to. Garrard County is a such a well coached team. Ryan Young has done and continues to do a phenomenal job there.

There werent any easy shots for anyone on Boyle County’s team. Reese Smith showed again that he is one of the best players in the region and will be one of the best players in the region for the next two years. Grant Hotchkiss continues to do all the things it takes for a team to win a game. Baby J continues to show why he is the best PG in the region. Bryce Slone is seeing faceguard after faceguard in every game and he still affects the game on both sides of the floor. Will Bramel had a strong game on the board and while affected by foul trouble he still changes the game when on the court.

Braden Sebastian of Garrard County is in the same category as Reese Smith and will easily be one of the best players in the region for years to come. He’s showcased the ability to be able to take over the game and he showed last night that he can score and rebound with the best of them. Trevor Jones not being at 100% and then Charles Jones getting some bad cramps late didn’t help Garrard County either. Once Boyle County began to press the problems began for Garrard County and that allowed Boyle County to regain the lead and they never relinquished it.

It has been a joy to watch Justin Preston play. He’s not flashy but he has always gotten it done when on the court. Great kid from a great family and I wish him well in all of his future endeavors.

Grind...Grind....and Grind.

Survive and Advance.

Garrard really finished the year playing good ball. Congrats to Coach Ryan Young for getting this team playing like they did.

Boyle's press in the 3rd quarter was the difference...forced 5 consecutive turnovers. I am not sure if Boyle scored off any of them, but it kept Garrard from getting shots off.

Baby Cool J knocking down FT's seals the deal and the Rebels move on.

Not sure who I am pulling for in the Danville/Lincoln game.....don't really want to play either one.
