As I stated in another thread, only two 9th region players have won Mr. Basketball and I don't see Frederick or Kunkel making it number 3.

Who are the 3 or 4 favorites to win?

Mr. basketball is given out before state tournament begins and the voting is done long before region finals are complete.

 

Has voting always been completed before the season ends? Why? Is it a ballot with names listed or a write in?

As I stated above, the Sweet 16 begins on March 14, Mr. basketball is presented on March 13, what they do at state has no implication on Mr. Basketball.

 

The previous year’s S16 performance can help.

I agree with Faulkner being the favorite. I have not seen him play but several people I have spoken with feel he is the best senior in the state. Kunkle, Fredrick, Scrubb and Boone are the 4 best seniors I saw play this year.

Always helps to be from Central or Eastern Kentucky. Seems like they lean towards their own when voting.

Pretty easy, Co-Mr. Basketball, other states have done it.

I guess not many people have been able to see Detorion Ware at Christian County play. Fantastic player. I would think he would at least get some consideration.
