Survivor: Ghost Island

Featured Replies

So what did you think of the Ghost Island twist?

I liked it.

I like that the winning team at immunity gets to pick who goes and that they are safe from eviction.

I like that the person on the island has to gamble if they get the advantage and that there's a real consequence if they lose.

I like that not every person who goes to Ghost Island will get a chance to win and advantage.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out after merger.

And for the record this degenerate gambler is running his office pool for the 35th consecutive season. Started in in Season 2, Australia.

I'm disappointed that Seth Rogen's twin brother was evicted.

I am glad the KY guy got to stick around. Maybe its cause he's from KY but I wanted him to get to have a little bit of an experience.

Thought Bob Ross may have actually pulled it off.

I liked when dude said, "I have very good skills of deception". Then he proceeds to walk back to camp, pulls out his fake immunity idol and actually says something like, "Look, I found this real immunity idol. It's not a fake or anything."

Yeah, if you couldn't see through that story then you have no chance of winning. Loved that the PE Teacher called him out about the note that comes with it. He nailed it, no superfan doesn't keep that note.

For sure. Any super fan specifically knows that your idol is actually 2 pieces. The idol itself then the note.

How would you handle deciding who to send to Ghost Island from the other team each week?

1. Send their strongest player or the perceived biggest target, so they can't vote him off.

2. Send their weakest player to help keep the team weak by virtue of the weakest link theory.

3. Just send the same person over and over whomever it is, to keep Ghost Island a secret to as many people as possible.

4. Some other reasoning.

Those first two go arounds, it makes sense to me to send the perceived weakest player so they stay safe and keeps their tribe weaker for challenges.

However, now that they are having a tribe swap, it will be really interesting to see what direction they go because they could be a lot more agendas in play since they are essentially sending some of their former tribe mates.

Ghost Island is much better than Redemption Island, which I was worried it would be more like. I also like the flashbacks of former players. Looking forward to some much older ones.

3. I think sending the same person over again let’s you know who could potentially have what and it limits how much strategy they can be involved with back at camp so when they do merge that’s a potential number for you.

Is it me or do the first couple weeks of new player casts kind of drag along? Usually until the merge I have a hard time finding people I like. Haha

I agree. It takes some time to get to know and become invested in the players.

I little shocked that Morgan went home so early. I thought she'd be a preseason contender for the title. I'm glad they voted her out over Angela though.

I'd also much rather find a little necklace immunity idol, rather than the big plaque that James went home with.

I'm glad they aren't giving something away on Ghost Island every time somebody goes.
