May 25, 20188 yr I'm not sure there is anything fishy at all. The producers/camera guys see as they vote. They only read the votes because they knew it was a tie. They wanted Laurel to vote right away instead of waiting who knows how many months to vote. Wouldn't have been right to wait and have Laurel vote at the reunion show. I get that Laurel needed to vote right away and that someone knew it was a tie. It just all seemed way too convenient. 35+ seasons of waiting to read the votes at the reunion show, and the first time they break from it they get a tie (which is coincidentally the season after they change the rules regarding ties) which allows them the extra drama of reading the last vote at the reunion show. It’s just weird to me how everything lined up for them to get max drama.

Are you implying that the jury members were told to vote a certain way so that there would be a tie? I'm not buying it.
May 25, 20188 yr I also am not a fan of the recent reunion shows. A couple of other things about the finale..... 1. Where was Stephanie? Why did she not attend? 2. The whole final vote seemed set up. First, this was the first time since season they read the final votes right away(unless my memory is bad) and not save them for the reunion show. And then somehow, it ends up a tie, and they get to hold the final vote for the reunion show anyway. Seems either really fishy, or really lucky. I believe the only season he actually read the votes on the island was the very first when Richard Hatch won. Season 2 when Tina won they did a silly thing where they had her and Donaldson dressed in the same clothing as at final tribal and transition straight to the reunion from the island even though it was very apparent they had cleaned up. From then on they gave up on that silliness. I put the below before I saw someone post just about the same thing. I believe that in every tribal council Probst and production look at the votes and put them in the order they want to read them prior to reveal (I'll go tally the votes). I would bet that they do the same thing at the final vote just in case there is a tie and there would have to be a tie breaker. In the case of a tie they need to get the tie breaking vote on the spot, rather then at the reunion where the person breaking the tie would have been able to watch the shows before voting. Since it was the first tie vote it would also be the first time they read the votes on the island. Looking at everyone involved it was apparent they were surprised when he started reading the votes. I immediately thought it meant there was a tie.
May 25, 20188 yr Btw, Libby is an absolute smoke show. Pretty sure her and Michael aka the 18 year old are a thing. Haha But yeah she’s a dime for sure.

They definitely do it strategically.

May 28, 20188 yr Overall a pretty boring season as far as gameplay was concerned. I liked the theme and the final vote was exciting but not many tense moments leading up to it. C- for me.
