16thBBall Fan Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 What does everyone think of this one could be a really good one if the Eagles play as they did today. But also Brady and Gronk should be back to full health also in two weeks. Looking forward to it!
sumoroyal Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 No home team has hosted a Super Bowl and no dome team has won an outdoor game. That's hard to believe.
16thBBall Fan Posted January 22, 2018 Author Posted January 22, 2018 The Patriots will be playing in their NFL all-time leading 9 Super Bowl appearance passing the Steelers and Cowboys they are 5-3. The Eagles will be making their 3 Super Bowl appearance they are 0-2.

16thBBall Fan Posted January 22, 2018 Author Posted January 22, 2018 It will actually be the Pat’s 10th Super Bowl. you are correct wikipedia was not updated I should've went back and counted. thanks So that actually already puts them 2 Super Bowls ahead of both the Steelers and the Cowboys.

The Eagles will be making their 3 Super Bowl appearance they are 0-2. Patriots are 5-4 in the super bowl. Lost to Chicago, Green Bay, and the Giants twice. Either way being in a tenth super bowl is an amazing statistic alone. One thing interesting is that New England’s third super bowl win came against Philadelphia and their sixth one may too.
hrcarrier Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Even though I think New England will win and will probably be pretty big favorites, this does have the makings of a similar game like New England won against the Rams for their first.
rjs4470 Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Yes, the Pat’s are certainly the favorites. However, this Eagles team has kept defying the odds, and proving the experts wrong. Matchup up wise, as an Eagles fan, I like the matchup vs NE better than had they played the Jags. Defensively, New England doesn’t scare me, and the Eagles just scorched what many felt was the best defense in the NFL. And the Eagles have been very good defensively all year. I know it’s going to be a tough mountain to climb, but this Eagles team just feels different and has a certain energy surrounding it. I know I’m viewing this through my Eagles glasses, but I think they can pull this off.
75center Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Since Eli Manning is not on the other side of the field, Tom Brady wins this. Pats 31 to 17.
Jumper_Dad Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Patriots have a way of just squeaking by in big games, I think this is the game they come out clicking on all cylinders from the beginning and we get a blow out, much like the NFC game last night. Pats 41-17

Pats 41-17 Since they became "The Patriots" in the early 2000s, all seven of their Super Bowl appearances have been highly competitive. Last year's Super Bowl was the widest spread of their games, and it was by six in overtime.

If Philly is to contain New England's offense, it will be because the front four, in particular Fletcher Cox being able to cause havoc. Something they are most certainly capable of.
