I agree I think it was time for a change,nothing against Flynn but what Ashland has for a team does not fit his style,Biggs can make it happen.

All 3 sides are correct. Is Flynn a great coach?-yes, his record speaks for itself (3 different schools to Rupp, or Freedom Hall, and a state final appearance). Have time changed?==no question, even in the 9i0's only three teams went to state(Ash., B.C. and G.C., in the new millennium 6 teams (I think) have gone (B.C., Ashland, Rose Hill, Rowan Co., Morgan Co. and Russell) and its only 2006. Was it time for a change at Ashland--very possible. Even the greatest romances have a hard time lasting. Both sides are probably amicable with the decision.

How did you know? Look I am a foster parent and I have sent the last three to BC, and things has not turned out so great for them,its not the schools fault,Its the parents and some of the coaches, well only two but anyway I still root for BC but it is time for a change for the kids.:thumb: Hey the class is not that hard:D

these recent posts by all are right on. From 1954-1980 Ashland won 13 region titles or every other year. From 1980-2006 Ashland has won 5 Region titles or every 5.2 years. Consolidation, enrollment dropping have all contributed to this cause. Flynn also did a great job. He was in in region finals 6 times in 9 years. Hard to dispute that. He also was Ashland's longest tenured coach at 9 years. Give the man his due. Was it time for a change? Probably. Will Biggs win the region every other year? Probably not. Can he win it once every 5 years like has beeen the trend the last 26 years. Probably. I think GIAT is right on hopefully the program will get a shot in the arm and move back to Rupp soon. Let's not forget their are other really really good teams int he region.

Some would think that it was more than that. Some would go as far as to say it is of such importance that the whole sporting climate in our region hinges on it. I never thought of it, but you're right! Somehow, I just know that with the large crowd expected if the game is played, we'll see Bobby! Is there a dress code among officials? Perhaps one could add suspenders to the polyester attire!
