I have a suggestion. Since Ashland was animate last season that a larger gym should be used in the districts, shouldn't a larger gym also be used in this game to accomodate the potentially large crowd. I don't think either Boyd Co. team is playing that night, so play it there, split the gate, and the concession. Everybody wins.

They would have to rent the gym from Boyd. Boyd would win, everyone else loses. Besides, it's not like this game would be a tourney game, like districts are. We are no longer in the "OJ Era" either, so it won't be the 'hyped up' game that it was back then. I see no reason either school couldn't play this game on their home floor.

T-CAT4LIFE, regardless of the presence or absence of Ovinton, the game would attract a goodly number of people with no ties to either school. I still oppose it. However, if an overall agreement is reached for the schools to play six times (one game each year for this year and the next five years), with three games at each site and with no effect on the unseeded district draw, I would reluctently support it. Any agreement scheduling only one game this season at Ashland would convince me that Rose Hill not only has miserably failed to learn from the past but that its representatives are fools.

For what it's worth one of the primary definitions of "animate" is "full of life" which is not totally out of line in describing what Jed intended... although "adamant" as an adjective is probably more accurate.

 

Either way, Rule 13 enforcement is best left up to moderators. Let's not go down this path please. :thumb:
