Momcat, you do, indeed, make a valid point. I suppose it depends upon who is making the road map. With all the moving around in recent years, it wouold be difficult to find the "school of origin" for many of our area athletes.

I have been told that Coach Biggs is very interested in playing Rose Hill. Now we will see if he has he juice to run his own program or if the mafia is the power behind the throne.

I'm sure Coach Biggs would rather play Rose Hill for the first time in regular season, than face them for the first time in District play, but I'm also not sure if he has the authority to make that decision, could end up making a difference in the district. Their strategy may be to just draw the Fairview

I have heard nothing but positive things about Coach Biggs from those that know him. I honestly believe that he will do his part to try and defrost the Ashland/Rose Hill relationship.

Biggs will play anyone at anytime. Oak Hill Academy, St. Louis Vashon, Wings Academy of NYC, and Miami Senior just to a few......

The point is not whether Biggs has the stuff to schedule the Hill, from all I've seen of him he has that and then some. The point is the powers that be won't let him. If he hasn't figured out who's in charge by now, he will soon. :lol:

So we have confirmed that Ashland has an opening, does Rose Hill have an opening? If so, maybe we can mediate this deal right here on Preps!

This does kind of put Ashland on the spot though, I guarantee the players and Coach Biggs have no fear and would like to play Rose Hill, will be interesting to see who they fill that open spot with. Does Ashland play everyonne else in their district?

If you boys can "broker" this one, your next assignment will be the Arab-Israela conflict followed by Northern Ireland and Iraq. Thereafter, you will be regulars in settling disputes in local Family Law Courts. Accomplishing the first will make everything thereafter simple.

 

I would add that the fact that Rose Hill openly pursues a game does not mean that Rose Hill expects to win. Actually, Ashland would be expected to win- at least this year. However, Rose Hill would enjoy the competition and would be happy to see the end of the longstanding hypocricy.

Maybe they could run a ticket special, you know, buy one ticket, get the next one free of interest for 12 months same as cash!
