No, boys, you see, the YAK and I have a long, storied history stemming from when we were 16th region participants and now we are on different sides of the fence, his kids at Ashland, mine at Rose Hill. He'd root for one and me the other, and we'd both root for the kids on both squads. That in my opinion is what it should be,,,,,a basketball game,,,,not the political crap that it's portrayed as. When the whistle sounds at the end, the kids will give fist bumps to their friends on the other side, the coaches will shake hands amicably, and the YAK and I will call each other the next day discussing why we didn't tag the 10 pointer or where our next escapade in the turkey woods take us. Life will move on and not hinge on this game. Well,,,,for those of us with sanity it won't!!!

We would not only call in a trophy for you, we would capture the moment on video tape. Why I had the opportunity to host a local coach and he was amazed at the efficiency of the day. Don't always work that well, but the planets were aligned. As for my childred and the Doc's, they can attend school and participate in athletics and in the end if they will get up early and accompany the old men afield then the priorities are good. If the Doc's children ever have the chance to compete for a state title I hope the good Lord will see to that I can be in attendance.
