I was looking for a new series/author to read. I'm pretty much caught up on or taking a break from all the others I read. I usually don't read military submarine or stuff, but this guy (Rick Campbell) is a retired Navy Commander so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm 10 chapters in and loving the submarine stuff. Bringing back old memories and enjoying it. (I have to admit that the main boat being the USS Kentucky did sway me a little bit)

 

About My Mother by Peggy Rowe. She is Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs) mother. The true story is mother daughter friction and bonding. Writing is hilarious. May be a woman book, but you might like it as a gift.

Fun fact. Author Jeffery Deaver was on the Great American Dog show in Thanksgiving. He was showing some kind of a hound dog.

I havn't read this since I was a kid. Isaac Asimov's mind was amazing.

 

I'm not sure why the new cover has Will Smith on it. The movie uses characters based on various short stories in the book, the 3 laws, and a part of the concept of the last story in the book, "The Evitable Conflict".
