GRC hyped up too much too soon

Featured Replies

Does GRC have a steady and calming influence at PG? I haven't seen them play this year. I expected them to start out much better with all their main guys coming back plus the transfer additions.

Our PG is Jordan Graham. If he gets in foul trouble then Taylor will play the PG position.

There seems to be a lot of GRC fans on here. They could scrimmage KY School of the Blind and have 9 pages of comments. GRC looks to have a very talented roster that will probably be a serious contender if not favorite to win region at the end of the year. I think all the hype has been from GRC fans/parents picking them apart over every detail on this website which is what this website is for. Its good to have a fan base that cares so much.

I have been a huge GRC fan for over 25 years now. Have been on this site for 15 years. I am a retired teacher of GRC, as most of the posters on here know. My comments is to support our kids not pick them apart. If I am not at the game I will give updates from our webcast.

We do have a very talented team that is very deep. Coach will play about 10 players each game. We do have a good fan base and a great band and regional champ cheerleaders.

Proud to be a CARD fan.

Is GRC playing the KY School for the Blind? I didn't see that on the schedule. Must be a late addition. I'll start a new thread......

I'm not knocking you or the fan base in any way. The name of the thread is GRC Hyped too much too soon. There just seems too be a lot of discussion about anything GRC related basketball wise which could lead to extra hype. If every fan base was this passionate about their team the season and this site would be a lot more exciting.

There was a ton of preseason hype for this team for many reasons!! But to stay within the BGP rules policy I will just have to leave it at that.

Yell.thread not started by a GRC fan. Some like to stir the pot.

By the way I really like your code name for several reasons.

Code name?

Crazy that this is a discussion 2 weeks into the year, but I guess all is fair in love and basketball. I think GRC turns it on.

Still can believe PC gets NO love! Belcher is a great coach and gets the most out of his teams, imo.

I know Josh Cook and he will have this team ready to play when it matters. I wouldn't celebrate too much over a rough stretch in early December.

With new players it may take a while for them to gel. Playing together doesn’t happen overnight.

I believe that Trinity High School May be a bit overrated as well.

Agree 110% Thrilled Coach Cook is our coach. Us GRC fans are not stressing as we know that there will be games that only get you ready for post season.

We'll take the love in March. Still plenty of improvement to be made!
