Pumpkin pie and eggnog. Woo-hoo!

This just got a lot more interesting. I'll be curious to see the response to this. To be honest I had no idea a pumpkin was a fruit.

 

Also fruits: peppers, tomatoes, and squash. How about a green pepper pie?

Fruit develops from the flower, which is what a pumpkin does.

I have only tasted it once and that was many years ago. I didn't like it then, but I now like many foods that I didn't back then. So, I would need to try it again before I could give it fair judgement.

A pumpkin is a fruit not a vegetable.

 

I guess I should have taken botany in school. I stand corrected. Although, while technically it's a fruit, most would recognize and call things like squash (of which a pumpkin is a big orange version of) and tomatoes veggies. I'll need to think about and correct my equation.

Pumpkin bread is my favorite pumkin item, but give me a pumkin pie, a can of whipped cream, and a quart of eggnog and I'm good to go.

Okay, I need to confess something here that I never noticed before, but it isn't good and I need to be publicly admonished: when a dude orders a Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks in front of me, I scrunch my face and judge them. Happened this morning. I of course chuckled about this thread when I did it, but realized I always do that.

 

So sorry Mr. Pumpkin Spice Latte guy, you do your thing and I shall (TRY) not (to) stand in judgment.

As much as I like pumpkin, that flavored coffee HAS to taste better than pumpkin spice Cheerios!
