November 30, 20178 yr Nobody has given me a good reason why Fresno State is ranked. What have they done to deserve to be the first non P5 3 loss team in the committee rankings? They scheduled Bama this year? Beat Boise State? At least Miss State has that close game against Alabama to fall back on.

You asked how they jumped and that's what happened in the last week...it moved them up 20+ positions in the RPI as well as garnered respect from pollsters. I'm sorry you don't like the explanation but I don't think it's a grand conspiracy like you do. Only two teams with less losses ranked behind them, so it's not like they jumped a bunch of 1 loss or even 2 loss teams.

If you have more than 2 losses you shouldn't sniff the top 25 as a non P5 unless you have some actual wins on your schedule. This wasn't the Fiesta Bowl winning, Chris Peterson, Boise State team they beat. Boise wasn't a top 25 team.
