It could be argued that even if they lose to Clemson they would still deserve to be ranked higher than OSU but they won't be. It only matters next week...if any of the top 4 lose OSU will get in. The point I was trying to make was to the people who thought the committee was trying to give OSU a chance at making the playoff over Alabama. If they wanted OSU to make it they could point to top 10 wins, top 25 wins, and probably eye test to say OSU should be higher. But they didn't. OSU is where they deserve to be and Miami is where they deserve to be.

I think if the committee was going to put Ohio State in over Alabama because Gene Smith is on the committee then I think Ohio State would be ahead of Miami this week. Good news for your boys, bad news for Bama. I think the committee is positioning themselves to get OSU in over Bama. The language last night didn't sound good for Bama. Holcutt said that the margin was close between 5-8, and if it's close now (which I don't agree it should be as of now) surely a win over a top 4 team should make up the "close" distance. In the end I think it's all about the money.....no way the BIG 10 gets left out of the playoffs.

November 29, 20178 yr I actually have said who should have been over them. I think you have some decent fringe top 25 teams that should be ranked way before a 3 loss non power team. Louisville for example. Like I said you could make an argument for 5-6 teams and proably be ok. My point is it's not ridiculous or some big conspiracy.

Had they lost their last game, I would have made a big post on how they did not deserve it. You lose your last game, no matter how it is twisted, you do not belong.
