Predictions on 10th Region

Featured Replies

I have to agree with this one.........if we look at last year's score of the Deming vs Campbell Co game the Camels won 86-34 and Coach Reitz dressed for varsity the whole JV squad and they all played. In fact the starters played very little in this game giving way to the rest of the Camel squad. The Camel JV team won 59-17 as well playing all players. Campbell Co did not play Augusta but Deming beat Augusta last year by 10.

Didn't know these scores when I posted but just goes to my point. Deming/Augusta just don't have the population/school size/depth/feeder programs to compete with Campbell Co. I think Campbell Co is much closer to the 5,6,7 spot in the region with Scott than listed out of the top 10.

I would rate Silver Grove ahead of both Deming & Augusta because they have a legitimate star in Corey Pelle, imo a top five player in the region.

Camels would be 4-0. CC could typically take the kids who don't play basketball for the school and beat Deming and Augusta.

That might be too much bro.....

Augusta has stars in Josh White and Jeremy Hardymon... Hardymon lit St. Pat up last year to the tune of 40!

There are over 700 boys at CCHS right? Now think about the "intramural" team at PC a few years ago. They would have destroyed Augusta or Deming on an average year.

When I was a senior the best player on our 8th grade team didn't play basketball anymore. He was a state-runner up wrestler in the 189 division. He was about 6'4" and thought football players were weak because they wore pads. Basketball wasn't physical enough for him. Micah Riffe was the best 8th grader in the junior class. He played basketball a few years in high school but was the football QB. We also had a kid in our high school that was as good as anyone on our team. He was living in Campbell lodge because he stole a car. There were several guys that played football that were pretty good basketball players. When I was a senior I wouldn't have cracked the top five in kids that didn't play. I wasn't bad either. I was HUGE going about 310. Howeverr ask B-Man if I can shoot (a little at least) and I could touch the rim. When I played pick up games I made it a point to not let the other teams biggest guy get a board. I was too big to get around and I have played a lot of basketball. I played at Flour Creek in PC and I could compete with the best PC and CC had to offer, but I couldn't have played in the top five non-basketball players at CC????????

Then why has PC beat CC 8 out of the last 9?

Yes the Camel's record with PC over the last 6 seasons is 4-9. It is true that over the last two years PC has had better teams and during those years the two teams played each other twice a year but back when the Camels had successful teams they only played each other once a year. But I will agree that PC has had the Camel's number over the past few years but I think that is about to change. Our current junior and soph class has outmatched their counterpart teams from PC throughout Middle School and Freshman years so unless PC gets transfers as in the past there should be more competative games between the two teams.

They aren't Augusta or Deming.

Are you saying that Augusta/Deming could not beat CC?

From what I read he stated that PC was not Augusta or Deming.

Coming from a Brossart guy who is not too fond of the Camels, don't hold your breath on them losing to either of those teams...

I'll remember that mcpapa. Devilman !!! we get a free dinner !!! Where at Desha's?:jump: How about a free dinner and a ball game too? ;)

Remember there is not many small schools left. Sad thing :(

He I'm in just bring your wallet or credit card with you I get a big appetite after ballgames.

I don't know exactly what he meant, but I will say that Campbell would beat Augusta and Deming.
