Predictions on 10th Region

Featured Replies

I don't know exactly what he meant, but I will say that Campbell would beat Augusta and Deming.

I severly DOUBT that they WOULD beat Augusta and Deming. I think any team has the ability to beat CC, it can not be too hard for Augusta or Deming.

I'll remember that mcpapa. Devilman !!! we get a free dinner !!! Where at Desha's?:jump: How about a free dinner and a ball game too? ;)

Remember there is not many small schools left. Sad thing :(

Let's expand our horizons a little bit... I can eat at DeSha's any old time. I was thinking more along the lines of Columbia Steak House...

Just say when brother, I'm ready.:thumb:

Everybody loves the small school/underdog but we are getting carried away with Augusta and Deming in the top ten ahead of Campbell Co. Even with everything CampCo lost they are still significantly better than those two schools.

(To say that Deming has a couple of 8th graders that could play with any one elses varsity in the region???? I am going to go out on a limb and say they are not even the best 8th graders in the region), yet the fact that they might be thought of as varsity contributors tells you everything you need to know about Deming being a top ten team.

Have you seen them play?

Fine with I want some steak... I do not care what resturant has steak as long as it DOEs have STEAK. Since there is more than one place to eat in Maysville I hope they get a Hooter's soon. The wings are great;).

I hear we may get a Hooters.:ylsuper:

To say that someone dis' a small school, you basically dis them all. Any small school has the ability to beat a larger school, and it happens all the time.

Deming and Augusta are example 1A. These are one of the smallest schools in the state, so thus they have less money for athletics, books, supplies, etc. Even with these limitations a small school can easily beat a large school as a AAA school could beat a AAAA. It just deals with who comes out that night to play ball.

And I've heard Outback, which would be fine with me. I don't know if a town the size of Maysville could sustain one, though; it already seems like Maysville has more restaurants than any small town I know of...

When AHS and Deming go 4-0 against CC this year!

Have you seen them play?

Have not seen them play that I am aware of but I have seen the Mason County and Campbell Co 8th grade groups on the AAU circuit so I am pretty confident in my statement that they are not the best 8th graders in the 10th region. AAU is not an end all but if you are telling me that there are two 8th grade post players who are varsity ready for any team in the 10th region and they have never suited up in an AAU tourney?

Quality post players at the 13 & 14 year old age group are like gold to AAU coaches. If you are good you are found. Look at Rose Hill last year...suited up some of the best 8th graders in the state, nationally ranked 8th graders and they struggled to win at the varsity level.

Look I'm happy the kids are getting an opportunity to play varsity basketball at a young age and hopefully they can continue to develop just don't make the statement that two 8th graders that might start for Deming or come off of the bench could play for any other varsity team in the 10th region.

If they were at Mason Co, GRC or even CampCo & Scott (considered middle of the road 10th region teams) they wouldn't be playing varsity, JV and maybe not even frosh. To move up at schools that size you have to be a pretty special player.

Hooter's or Outback I do not care.

Hooter's got wings :jump: (I love the food);)

Outback got me a bloomin' onion Crickey !!!! :ylsuper: (my old english teacher was from Australia Crickey)

Campbell lost EVERYONE last year... Marcus Clines, Brett White, Braden McKain, Kyle Schmidt, Josh Kramer and more possibly. They are starting five new people this year, I believe, I may be wrong...

We did lose a lot, but I think this will be the test of Coach Reitz having 4 years to make a difference. This years seniors are his first 4 year class. Reitz is a great coach, and this should be proof of his ability. Good Luck Camels!!

Wasn't last year the "Freshmen Regional Champs"? Didn't he have a chance to show his ability there?

What does PC have other than an overrated Kane Belcher?

Kane Belcher in not overrated. PC does have some great talent but what they lack in varisty experience.

People better watch out for PC. No one plays a tougher in season or summer schedule than these guys. Belcher is for real and there young guys will step up. They may struggle early but they will win their district and if Mason and Clark draw on same side watch out.
