Predictions on 10th Region

Featured Replies

Mason should win the 10th but don't count out Brossart and GRC...very good-quality opponents

No doubt Mason and Clark deserve the pre-season favoritism. Actually Clark night not be getting the credit they deserve, as they were very close to Mason last year, and didn't lose as much. Brossart should be a clear number 3, with Montgomery and Harrison in the 4-5 slots. I see the second five as follows:

6--Scott

7--Campbell

8--Pendleton

9--Silver Grove

10--St. Pats or Augusta

While I think Campbell's best recent team was last year's version, I still believe they should be ahead of Augusta, St. Pat's, and probably Bourbon and Pendleton. They have some size and a more experienced and deep junior class. Scott at #9 is way too low!!

I agree with you on Scott's ranking. They should be ranked ahead of PC, Bourbon, and Augusta because they are better than these three teams.

What does PC have other than an overrated Kane Belcher?

Granted, PC will be way down from previous years but I think that overrated is way too harsh of a word to use.

Wow, I just saw that Augusta's eighth... No offense to them, but there is no way the coaches do these rankings.

They didn't leave. They are still part of the 37th district and 10th region.

Many feel that they won't be very good this year.

Thanks I guess I was being sarcastic....not to rate this team in the top ten is a mistake. I think that they will surprise a few, let's hope. But the only ranking that matters is the final one.

Agreed, I'd say CCHS is around #9...

I agree with you that Campbell should be ranked in the top 10. I was just stating that quite a few people have said they wouldn't be good.

Augusta should not be ranked in the top 10 and agree that there is no way 10th region coaches gave these rankings.

:ylsuper: Scott & Campbell are both better than PC this year. Scott & Campbell match up could be most interesting games in the district.

Scott is going to have to really shoot the ball well to stay in games. They are not going to rebound the ball well and interior defense could be an issue.

this thread is interesting to say the least. PC is going to be fine and beat both Scott and Campbell. Scott is way better than 9th in region. Agree there. No one accused anyone of not going to the bench when PC was getting drilled by everyone in BIGGS's first two years there. Actually I know of two occasions where he was personally thanked by the opposing coach for not running it up. Taking shots at someone who is no longer there is petty. Belcher is not overrated and will prove people wrong on that one. Augusta is not 8th either. Brossart is a solid third and can beat anyone on a given night in the state for that matter.

The Camels will surprise some people. They have the majority of their team back don't they? I think they are top 6 or 7 in the region easy.

If Jones shows no ill effects from a broken wrist; I'll go with Clark County due to their muscle inside to take the region; with Mason County a close second.

3. Brossart

4. Montgomery County

5. Scott

6. Harrison County

7. Pendleton County

8. Bourbon County

Here's the way I see it as I've seen some of the teams during the summer:

1 Mason County

2 GRC

3 Brossart

4 Harrison County

5 PC

6 Silver Grove

7 Deming

8 Augusta

9 St. Pat

10 Bracken County or Paris

Of course ratings really don't mean a whole lot it's what the teams do during the season.

Scott or Campbell is not in your top 10?

These two are better than your 5-10 teams.

Actually, Campbell lost their two leading scorers from last year's team.
