Just saying, people are going to be saying do something. What do you do? Change nothing, lay down and take it?

 

That's what I was getting at. It's sad, but with everything going on in the Country/World these days, I'd rather have armed good guys around me (even at church) than take their weapons away. Yes people will likely still die, but there would at least be an opportunity to take down the shooter quickly. I hate that we even have to talk about this and think that way, but gun control isn't an answer that would have kept this from happening. However if there had been armed people in the church, I doubt there would have been as many victims.

I agree. Keep politics out of it. Nothing I have said is political. It is purely questioning what can be done to prevent this. That has nothing to do with politics. That is about finding a solution to a problem.

I can't really explain it, but I can see it. There is just a lot of hatred and divide in this country as well as most of the rest of the world. I can't really put a finger on what has caused it to happen so rapidly, but social media doesn't help any. All of these groups that spew hate daily are now live 24/7 for everyone in the world to listen to. It's broadened the audience so to speak and seems to be causing more divide. That's just an observation of mine, I can't really back it up with facts.

Yeah, I agree. I'm really concerned for my grandchildren's future. I'm afraid of what I think is coming in this country.

I couldn't give a legit answer as I can't wrap my head around it. It's sad though, I have a 5 year old daughter and hate to think of what the world may be like when she's my age.

I agree. It seems that has gone extremely off the rails over the last decade or so. The internet has proved to be a breeding ground for it as well.
