I'm looking for good outings for Vida Blue to outduel Denny McClain and Catfish Hunter to outduel Mickey Lolich, and from there the Oakland depth at SP guides them through. And Joe Rudi to get some clutch hits to overshadow a nice series at the plate by Norm Cash.

A's in six.

Zito and Harren, are the keys to this series. If Detroit can get on top early against both or either, forcing them into the bullpen they've got a good chance, to take away home field advantage.

If Detroit has a letdown after bypassing the Yankees, it could be over in 5. I'm a Detroit fan and Leyland, should/will keep them focused. Game #3 of this series and any, are the keys to me. Being up 2-1 or 3-0, is a huge difference.

If the Tigers gets game #1 or #2, then Detroit in 6. If A's win both, A's in 7.

Not only Zito and Haren but Rich Harden is a factor because if he is able to pitch than he can be very effective when healthy!
