If it's just competing to become an Eagle Scout, I really don't have a problem with it. If it's just to have girls join the organization, it's moronic. Is there a reason the Girl Scouts can't have their Gold Award program be exactly like the Eagle Scout program?
October 15, 20178 yr Why do girls have to try to prove they are better or tougher than boys. There a lot of things girls are better at and are tougher at than boys. It's stupid imo and I want my girl to be exactly what she is a girl and do stuff designed for girls.

But I will say, try telling anyone you are earned a Girl Scout Gold. No one is impressed. Most have no clue what that means. But an Eagle Scout? Now that means something.

I would think that is dependent upon the troop. I know I camped a lot as a girl scout. And I went to day camp in the summer. My daughter camped a lot with her troop also, and she went to overnight camp every summer.
