October 15, 20178 yr As a woman, and former Girl Scout, I am against it. There is something to be said for clubs that allow you to develop in a healthy manner with members of your own sex. The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts have been independently successfull for decades. Why change now? Thoughts?
October 15, 20178 yr Author I agree. What's wrong with girls being in Girl Scouts? Nothing! My daughter was also a Girl Scout. I thought the whole purpose was to develop friendships, fellowship, build self esteem among other girls. My son was a Boy Scout. I thought the same thing for him. Boy/girl relationships add a component that complicates the original intent of both programs.

I assume a name change for the organization is in order?
