The debate is fierce on whether Adam Dunn should be traded or not. And I have been on the side of the fence that says no, but began to think what would I trade AD for. So I pose those questions...

 

Would you trade AD in a deal that included.....

 

1)proven #1 or #2 pitcher?

2)#3, 4, or 5 pitcher?

3)proven closer?

4)pitching prospect on the line of Homer?

5)some combination of multiple prospects?

6)outfielder that has less HR's, RBI's but higher batting average and less K's while being able to play some decent defense?

 

BTW, for me.

1)Yes, but don't think he has the value to bring this and anyone who thinks he can bring this price is kidding themselves IMO.

2)No.

3)This I would have to give strong consideration to and would depend upon how I could fill that spot OUTSIDE of the organization.

How would we be kidding our selves if we think he could bring in a possible number 1 to this team or at worse a number 2...As GT said Willy Mo was able to bring an Arroyo for us who ended up being a solid number 1 and 2 with Harang. So with Dunn who is more proven that Willy Mo, you would think that we probably could even get a little bit more for him than we did with Willy Mo. So if we got that for Willy Mo it is not crazy at all to think that we can atleast get the same if not better than we did for Willy Mo...
