Lot of factors at play here.

Louisville's secondary struggled mightily at times with Alexander out on Saturday. Does he return? Even if he does can Louisville pass rush and coverage do enough to slow down Clemson?

Does the run game look like it did against UNC, with good blocking schemes and deliberate movement? Or does it look like it did against Purdue, with missed assignments and hesitant runners?

How well can Jackson work his magic against what thus far appears to be a really, really good Clemson defense?

Clemson 31-24.

Series history:

2014: at Clemson, L, 17-23

2015: at home, L, 17-20

2016: at Clemson, L, 36-42

Total of 15 points has separated these two over the last three seasons.

Mind says Clemson. Heart says UL...just so UK can crush their souls later this season.

I don't want to make a real prediction until I know whether Jaire Alexander is going to be back with the defense, but my gut says this is going to look like the shootout we saw last year in Clemson and with the same result.

Unfortunately, I don't think the defense is up to the task to win this one. Hope I'm wrong.

Clemson 38

Louisville 28

Atmosphere will be sick though!

Clemson in a very close game ....3 - 6 points

This will be a shootout much like last year. This year I think UofL has the experienced QB. I like the cards at home in this one.

At some point UofL HAS to beat these guys!!! I’m going with Cards by 1….

Btw, still salty I don’t have tickets. I’ll probably head down to the stadium to try to find some since I’ll be in Louisville anyway for an afternoon wedding shower – the game time change has worked out brilliantly for me. Go Cards!

I think the Cards win it this year, maybe win easily...if their D comes to play.

This comes down to whether or not Louisville can outscore Clemson. Hopefully Clemson's offensive woes continue and Louisville can pull out the W.

I think it'll end up being similar to last year.

I'll take Louisville this year 35-28

Cards 35 Clemson 24

I'm done with the close losses to Clemson. I'd rather be blown out.
