September 10, 20179 yr Agree. I wonder what changed. Cardale happened. I don't think JT's psyche has been the same since.
September 10, 20179 yr Because Baker doesn't project as an NFL QB. There have been a lot of those guys. Point being there are at least 4 other players expected to be taken in the early rounds of the draft on that team...so it's not just Baker and a bunch of "Dudes" some of them will be playing on Sundays as early as next year.
September 10, 20179 yr They were at midfield too with "BASIC" signs. They just didn't have a flag to plant. OK. then, I honestly didn't see that ....that, as you said is paybacks.
September 10, 20179 yr Karma got Ohio State tonight lol! Yes, it wasn't as much Karma, I don't even know who that guy is, lol. Actually it was B. Mayfield helped out a lot by the OSU Buckeyes, as I said ....no excuses, we got out butts kicked / embarrassed. Also, as for my jumping on OU for the midfield stuff, I honestly didn't see OSU at mid field after the game last season. All I saw was the singing of the alma mater at te back of the end zone as they do after every win anywhere. OU celebrating at mid field was just pay backs, I can see why now. :thumb:
September 10, 20179 yr I don't remember you talking about how classless the osu program was last year when they did something similar. Sounds like Oklahoma just returned the favor. See my last couple of post / quotes on this page...123, 124. I was wrong, had not seen OSU at mid field.
September 10, 20179 yr As another had said, the best case scenario for the Bucks would for both OU and OSU make it to the playoff and meet again, I would love it if that happened.
September 10, 20179 yr Cardale happened. I don't think JT's psyche has been the same since. I completely agree with that.
September 11, 20179 yr  I don't know what BGP is going to do with OSU being essentially irrelevant for atleast the next 3 weeks and potentially the next 7. We could go until October 26th without any significant OSU talk.
September 11, 20179 yr Cardale happened. I don't think JT's psyche has been the same since. Lost in all of this is how Meyer already benched JT once, when Dale came back (VT) game. But JT is untouchable now? I don't think he trust Haskins yet and Burrow is hurt. Nobody knows the mind of Urb and his famous UC psychology degree.

September 11, 20179 yr It's amazing how different he is from his first season. JT stepped up every time in big games his first year. Penn State, Mich. St, Michigan. He played well in all 3. Yeah they lost to VT but that was also his 2nd start. The dude just isn't the same. But he is who he is. The difference this year and last is he has no down field threats in the passing game. I'm not trying to be funny but this is kinda what happened to Urban in the SEC; once you get a rhythm to what he likes to do offensively you can defend his offense. This was OK's second time around against him. There is no one to take the top off the defense and JT may not even be able to get it there if that person was on the roster. Cardale was the starting QB in the championship year not JT, but I'm sure you are well aware of this. Cardale and I forget the wideout's name but they were torching people over the top that playoff run.

Cardale and I forget the wideout's name but they were torching people over the top that playoff run. I get that you aren't an OSU fan so maybe you don't know the program as well as I or some others do but there wasn't anybody to take the top off last year. So I'm not sure what you mean unless you are talking about unless you mean 3 years ago when he had Devin Smith. This years team has some straight burners on it, Parris Campbell, Johnny Dixon, KJ Hill, these dudes can get deep on just about anyone based on speed alone. JT just can't hit it. I was at the Nebraska game last year when OSU won like 62-0. That game should have been 76-0. JT missed two wide open deep balls to Curtis Samuel. There was no one even around him and by deep ball I mean 30 yards downfield. JT is just not capable of hitting that pass on any sort of consistent basis. Cardale could and did. It's a dimension to this offense that was necessary to beat both Bama and Oregon. Just look at the playcalling this week against OU. Seemingly every pass play was a roll out because the coaching staff had to make the field smaller for JT. You don't roll out Cardale or my boy Haskins because they can sit in the pocket and hit that deep ball over the top. Think how good JK Dobbins would be if he didn't have 8 dudes in the box every time he runs. We aren't going to win the NC this year with JT. Rotate Haskins and Burrow (if he's healthy) and see which one takes over. We need to figure out which guy is going to be leading this team next year. In the meantime they would have essentially 7 weeks to figure it out before we play Penn State and 3 weeks before we even play a team with a heartbeat. Our defense will keep us in the game against anyone for a while. The offense just needs to be able to keep up and do their part. JT isn't going to be able to provide that.
