Roller Skating Rinks

 

Skating rinks? No way...those things were popular for YEARS. I wouldn't consider those a "passing fad" as I believe what the original question was leaning to and what most of the responses have been.

There are still two popular rinks in NKY that I know of. That's like saying Drive-ins were a passing fad.

Maybe not by your definition, but skating rinks when I was young were a huge thing...now they are nearly non existent and the ones that are open cater to little kids.

That's what I'm saying...they were huge for a LONG time, not just a few years.
