A Question About Library Membership

And you get to keep them on your phone?

Who knew. Granted I havent been in a public library since High School.

Libraries are AWESOME!

Indeed. I'm a big library guy. I've really enjoyed serving in capacities to help libraries.

Just a great program that serves everybody.

Indeed. We recently secured nearly $700K in grant money to help us expand our library. I really enjoy serving on library boards. As you said, everybody in the community benefits from a great library.

If you already have a library card try overdrive.com.

Libraries will soon be extinct. While they provide a great source of info, I just can't see any more money being poured into them when the world has access to the same info with a click of a button. Many libraries have already started converting to computer hubs. It's a shame, I have fond memories of trips to the library from my younger years.

I live in Campbell Co. and have a library card for Boone County and Kenton County libraries........all you need is your driver's license and you can get a library card for any library.

I am not sure that they will become extinct. I do see libraries changing into something else, and they are already going that direction. Less books and more computers. A bigger extension of the surrounding schools with more early childhood learning classes, more study skills/ACT prep, more resume help/interview prep, more "senior" activities. Just my thoughts.

I can see that happening. Libraries as we know them need to change. Campbell county was going to open a south location and luckily it was nixed. Can't seeing money going into a free service when the info is readily available and there are other issues that need to be resolved. Roads, drug issues, etc.

We were able to get a Campbell County card.

I read where you can check out tools at the Kenton County Library.

So whats the book Neer?

Dueling with Kings, with Fantasy Football getting ready to start I wanted to get educated about the Daily Fantasy game. I was about to purchase it on Amazon then noticed it would ship in March of 18, I didn't want to wait that long. I thought about the Kindle download but would rather have a book in hand.
