Southwestern At Boyle Co.

Injury Update....

While listening to the Coach's show this morning, Coach Pardue said that Grant Tamme will not be playing again this week, (is it something more than an injury, hum?), Cole Stevens will be ready to go, and most importantly Bryce Perry is "questionable". Coach didn't say what was wrong with him.

Seems like if it's not one thing it's another this year.

Good luck Rebels..

let's ask Danville and Lafayette if we are that bad. I just betcha they won't say that.:thumb:

I never said we where bad, just that we havn't played well. If Boyle had not of gave Danville 14 and Layfatte 17 1st. quarter points from blocked punts, and turnovers what would the outcome have been?

If you asked the Boyle players if they have played well so far, What would their answer be?

It's not the first, nor will it be the last. We just need to agree on disagreeing. :thumb:

Now, do I need to hide from you Friday night? :scared: Homecoming is pretty soon, do I need to find another date to the dance now? :D

Southwestern also had Scott Blair then.

I think Scott Blair was the only player to play that year. Man, he was awesome. He took on the whole Boyle Co. team - by himself!! No wonder he was runner-up to Travis Atwell in Mr. Football.

Good Luck Warriors! Pull it together! The real season starts Friday Night. I know you can do it. :thumb:

Yes, you probably should hide from me Friday night and no I don't have to find another date for the Homecoming dance cause you are still going to take me and you are going to buy me flowers, candy and you are taking me out to a fancy place for dinner. If you don't lay off my boys for a while you just might find out that that Homecoming dance is going to cost you a whole lot more:lol:

Yes,yes, yes. My senses tell me this. For once I have some sense. Let me use them super.

My gut tells me different. ;)

Perhaps $5 like every year or if we have to help pay for the field, maybe $50 per tickets:lol:   All joking aside....I have no idea. Would you like for me to find out for you?

I do want to say with - I can't say how happy I am that we are playing SW. It is such an honor to play against a team that has such wonderful fans. I will never forget the first time we went to SW and how nice some of their football players were to us before the game. I knew then that these parents had raised some pretty terrific kids. I then found out later, that these kids had some pretty terrific parents and fans themselves. I, of course, want my football player to come home Friday night with a win, but I will admit that I will be sad that any kid on that field Friday night will have to go home with a loss.

Oh, I totaly agree,they are the best fans,besides us.:D

No matter who they had they didn't win then and with the lack of pass defense they won't win this year either. Southwestern starts the real season 0-1 by 23, 35-12.

SW struggles to defend the pass and they make too many turnovers, not a good combination against Boyle County. If SW wants to win this year, they need to jump out to an early lead. If Boyle gets up by a couple scores early, those seeds of doubt will start to rise. I just can't see SW winning this game.

You all make me laugh. This game is totally a tossup. Either team can win this game. It will be a close game, probably lots of scoring by both sides. I am interested in the new grass and how it holds up after all the wet weather.

Just got word that Mason will be the starting QB for the Southwestern game this Friday night, due to a ankle injury to Perry.:irked: So all of you who think this is going to be a Boyle Co. blowout, it's not going to be. I'm again wishing for a win.

I have stayed in hiding way too long this year. Boyle has played some very good and some very bad ball so far but with the steady improvement, I think we are ready to start to the real season. Philip Mason can quarterback this team if the line can buy him a little extra time. I know senior wide out Bottom is on a gimpy leg also., but I still pick Boyle by 3 touchdowns. 44-20. Looking forward to seeing some of the great warrior fans again. I will be at the tailgate tent in behind the scoreboard. Go Rebs..;)

Go Phillip Mason and Taylor Bottoms! Is Grant Tamme going to be able to play? Good luck Rebels!

Yes he was good.

Also had 4 others guys on that team Go D1 as well. If memory serves me correct SW only ran for 58 yards that game against Boyle.
