Southwestern At Boyle Co.

Featured Replies

I'm just not as confident as other posters in here. Boyle would be very lucky to come away with a win Friday night. I see it as 50/50 (could go either way). No doubt about it Southwestern really wants a win against Boyle, and this could very well be that season to get that monkey off their backs. Danville, Layfatte, and Mercer has lossed that Monkey this year. The one thing we have going for us Fiday night is Homefield.

Let's not forget about a group of kids who have really played hard and have played against some really good teams this year. Do ya think that might be one of the reasons we've only won one game so far:confused:

Boyle Co. 35-17.

Yes.....Thats only one of the many reasons we are 1-4 right now. I'm not down on the team Miss K. I think they can make some noise in the playoffs, but just becasue they have played some good teams, is not the only reason. Boyle is 1-4 because they just have not played well. Defence (Big Plays), Turnovers, Penalties, Special Team play, Confidence, and Young Players are also reasons.

Now, I do feel that come the end of the season the Boyle coaches will have the kinks worked out. It all comes down to the Southwestern game friday night. A win will just about guarentee home field through out. A loss means you go on the road. A win Friday night, and with the younger players expericence they gained, Boyle will be a team to be reckened with come playoff time.

Both teams have played tough schedules,I think Bc has played better competition,SW has no secondary, none, the rebs will throw all over the warriors, BC can also run very well, give me the rebs 45-21.

Don't make me have to give you a good talking to lil' mister:lol:

How can you say they have not played well? They played Danville and Lafayette to the very end. If they didn't play well....what does that make those teams look like? I can't figure out how anyone can say that they haven't played well. Perhaps they haven't played like the teams of late but hey, these kids aren't those teams. I think they could have played better but then who am I? I wish they had won those games but they didn't. But to say they haven't played well....let's ask Danville and Lafayette if we are that bad. I just betcha they won't say that.:thumb:

I'm sticking with my gut feeling. Boyle runs the table on the district and heads into the playoffs with a ton of confidence. Playing that tough schedule will pay off big time in the next month. Mark it down!

SW is catching Boyle at a really bad time. Tough schedule, people writing them off, plus first home game with an overflow crowd that brings out the emotions of the Rebels. Southwestern has a hard time defending the pass.

I think it will be a big ol' can.

No,no,no,it won't be anything like that. These two teams have battles to the end just about every year, it will be tight all night I again look for another barn burner from these two teams, and wishing for a Boyle win.Yes, it's getting to the point now, that we Boyle fans are wishing for a win.:D

Yes,yes, yes. My senses tell me this. For once I have some sense. Let me use them super.

Not usually all that close:

Mystique, Mystique Mystique. The rebels have it. Until someone in the district is able to overcome that, Boyle is always going to be the favorites in district play - even if they are "down". WIth that I have to say rebels win and the mystique remains firmly in place.

I haven't seen Boyle this year so I won't make a prediction. But Southwestern isn't as bad of a team as their score with Highlands would indicate. If their qb and receivers are on the same page in this game, Southwestern should complete a lot of passes. Better than average passing game. How is Boyle's pass defense this year? Southwestern had a decent running game, but only average I'd say.

Southwestern had a really nice defense, especially the run defense. Unless Boyle has someone like Kramer on the Rebel team, I doubt you will see Boyle have much success on the ground. Birds did have a lot of success throwing the ball against Southwestern. If Boyle scores many points, it will be through the air. Boyle have much of a passing attack?

Game could boyle (pun) down to which team has the best passing game. Should be a high scoring game. Good luck to both teams.

How much are tickets this season at Boyle Co.?

Perhaps $5 like every year or if we have to help pay for the field, maybe $50 per tickets:lol:   All joking aside....I have no idea. Would you like for me to find out for you?

I do want to say with - I can't say how happy I am that we are playing SW. It is such an honor to play against a team that has such wonderful fans. I will never forget the first time we went to SW and how nice some of their football players were to us before the game. I knew then that these parents had raised some pretty terrific kids. I then found out later, that these kids had some pretty terrific parents and fans themselves. I, of course, want my football player to come home Friday night with a win, but I will admit that I will be sad that any kid on that field Friday night will have to go home with a loss.
