Zaza has injured the two best SF in the league in one season.

 

Not exactly sure what was dirty about that. If Leonard didn't have an injured ankle before it, I don't think anyone says anything about it because what he did is what every defender does. Just a very unfortunate thing that happens in basketball.

The NBA has made a point to eliminate that play from the game. Now I don't think he went in there with the intent to injure him, but he knew exactly what he was doing. There is a reason Van Gundy was saying it should be a flagarant foul.

Mostly, I agree. It is similar to a defenseless receiver in the NFL.

 

I think Zaza's momentum took him further under Kawhi than normal. I think the rule's intent is to keep a straight up defender from standing under a shooter.
