Maybe stopping an NHL shot by sheer luck, but otherwise I'm in agreement.

No chance for any of the others.

The way I see it is, Tebow is a really good high school baseball player. I'm sure we have a few guys on here that were pretty decent hs pitchers and probably a college pitcher or two. Wouldn't be shocked if we had someone that tooled around in the minors. They could definitely get one strike out of ten on him. Everything else is pretty inconceivable for our membership. Maybe someone like @Mustang could out-fish that one dude. I honestly have no idea how much better the pros are....

I probably could have done some of those things 35 years ago. Not a chance today.

Getting one past Tebow is my only shot...and that's not good.

Big ups to @Jumper_Dad for not polluting his original post with silly things, like "can you compete in NASCAR?"

Because I can totally do that. I can drive really, really fast in tight quarters. The beauty of pro athletes is they can do something none of us can. I'm not particularly impressed by the "athletic ability" of race car drivers when the most athletic thing they do is drive for a few hundred miles in hot temps. They don't even have to hold in a pee for that time anymore because of the high-tech suits, which also cool them off. I have a lot more respect for the guys who hack it out on the weekly dirt tracks since they actually work on their own cars (something I can't do). The glorification of NASCAR drivers has always escaped me.

No way you could compete in NASCAR. And I say that without glorifying NASCAR drivers.

@Randy Parker needs to get checked for a concussion after taking it to the face and then diving to stop the ball 3 seconds later.
He's in the protocol.

Tebow is a decent minor league baseball player. The only way any of us get it past him is if someone on BGP is currently a minor league pitcher or a top notch high school or college pitcher. Or we do some intense training in preparation for the standoff.

I'd pay money to watch folks try though. Especially trying to watch someone return a serve from Venus and stopping the hockey shot. Those would both be laugh out loud comedy.

I though about throwing out a golf challenge, but most golfers aren't as delusional as othet former high school athletes. They know they have no business competing with a PGA pro.

Professional golfers are so awesome.

I don't know about winning, but I'd like to watch Elena Delle Donne beat me to the basket ten times.

Bro, I've met you. :lol2:

Have I told you lately how much I love you! :lol2:

Whoa. Let's not get a head of ourselves.

1. He's played a month of minor league ball.

2. He is at one of the lowest levels of the minor leagues.

So far he has only been proven to be a really good high school player.

And he still has more training than we do to hit our 69 mph fastball that goes straight. That man is a phenomenal athlete and that shouldn't be forgotten when talking about Tebow.

And if you make me defend Tebow one more time I am going to a bunch of different websites and putting in your phone number and clicking on the "call me at anytime for outstanding offers" link.

Tebow would look like Giancarlo Stanton playing T-Ball against me. I'm just saying that's the only one that doesn't seem totally delusional for some of our members.

And seriously. He is proven to be a good high school player. That's it for now.
