X-rays negative. Could be a high-ankle sprain. If so, thats bad news.

Very true LSU. Remember a couple years ago when our outstanding running back Vince Phillips had a high ankle sprain. He missed several games, tried to come back and never was the same the rest of the season. I thought had he been healthy, he would have made a big difference in the finals against Male. Hope Vic's isn't as serious.

I won't make a prediction on this game til later, but I will say that there are some resasons for Manual fans to have better expectations about this game:

1) Manual has always been hindered against X, more so than any other team, by their limited ability to throw the ball. That appears to have changed.

2) Anderson is out, and we saw what a difference that made on the scoreboard last year when he also missed the first X-Manual game compared to the next match. Get well soon, Vic, by the way.

3) X may not be as physical as they've been in the past, is the word being spread around.

If Manual plays team ball, they've got a shot.

What's the latest on Victor? The TV replay showed him walking off the field on his own when the game was called.

He was limping pretty good in that footage. You could tell that he was hurting.

Really? They can pound it with the best of 'em.

Look for a close game in this one. Not a real strong showing physically or mentally against the rocks..... No reason to think that all is well and cured in Tiger camp!!!! Manual in a close one: 20 - 16.

I recall several times after X games this year that X didn't own the trenches like usual, and there were more arm tackles. I'm not interested enough to run a search, but I know it's been said on here.

Tell me you're trying to give locker material to the Tigers! This has to be a first Manual win prediction for a game against X from a non Manual person ever (well, possibly last year, I don't remember)!

I expected yet another run of "St. X by as much as they want".

I think this one will be close, but X gets the win 21-13.

I think X will come fired up, X will have more than 100 yards rushing even without vic. X wins. 24-10

I know this is a X vs. Manual thread but the reason for my pick is based on the observations of the X vs. T 1st qtr. (Im not going to call it a game...) X could not run the ball between the tackles and vic got manhandled several times in the quater and it sucked all the air out of his sails. Not sure how he is going to recover, mentally and physically..... Just way to many mistakes and looked as if the team was NOT focused on the task at hand... Manual is improved. Probably a good time to catch the tigers nappin.....

X has a lot of proven to do.... IMHO, Yes they looked that bad against the rocks.......

My gut feeling is that Vic will play and he will be at, or close to, full speed and that X will beat the Crimsons by 2 touchdowns. Caveat for the Tigers: You better come ready to play.

So all the out 3-6 weeks talk was incorrect? How could the reports be that wrong?

Just a gut feeling. How accurate and trustworthy were the "reports"? Have there been any updated reports? Maybe as the game approaches, some persons "in the know" can enlighten us. Vic is a tremendous back.
