Manual vs. St. Xavier

Featured Replies

Boy, a week ago St X was the toast of the town. Now, a scant 10 1/2 minutes of mistake-filled play later, they're feeding at the same trough with a 2-2 rebuilding Manual team.

My toughts exactly.

Tigers roll by doublt digits.

St. X Might be able to coast into the playoffs from here, although I don't think so.... Manual, PRP and Male will prove to be more than they can handle.... Have to pick up the intensity to match the speed of the game. If the Tigers don't pick it up, don't see'em giving Trinity anything to worry about in week #3 in November.......

So all the out 3-6 weeks talk was incorrect? How could the reports be that wrong?

A little birdie told me that there is a chance he will play friday night.

edit: doh shouldve read the CJ or the rest of this thread before posting...

Look, I know you're trying to pump them up and everything, but yeesh.

I'm sure that Coach Glaser will be filling the Tigers ears all this week about the accusations that they are "soft". I fully expect to see an old-time, smash-mouth St. X. offense and defense against the Rams Friday night. The Tigers always seem to pick up the intensity in the second half of the season. :fight:

If #3 for X is in uniform, I'd say that the Rams have little or no chance. Even if he can't go 100% he will give "The Duece" and the others an emotional lift.

Please identify the items which you observed on Friday's quarter which give reason that St. X is playing at a championship level? I saw nothing......

If Trinity can start 0-4 and finish 11-0, then St X can overcome one quarter of sloppy tackling and poor execution on offense.

I know I'm not writing them off. Sheesh.

When Trinity was 0-4 in 2003, I had a business trip scheduled for the first week of December. I told the travel people I HAD to be back by early Saturday afternoon because I had somewhere I needed to be that day. I suggest that the X people take the same attitude. X will be fine. See you in November.

We now play in the East for semi state maybe we will.

Im not writing them off. They clearly have some diffencies that need attention. What I saw Friday is a team that will struggle the rest of the season executing like the way they did..... I feel they have much better talent and abilities, no question. My point is that unless change is made and made quickly, it will be a surprise to make it to the third week of November....

This will be a tough road to hold.... I thought that the 06 Tigers were the real deal..... Looong way to go to get there and the season keeps getting shorter and tougher...... Sometimes you get what you earn.... We didnt earn anything Friday............. Time will tell...GO TIGERS !!!

This thread is getting out of hand. How quickly some have forgotten about St. X's impressive wins over Bowling Green, Highlands and Lexington Catholic, three of the best teams in AAA.

I would put more stock into the 144 minutes X played against the AAA powers than the 10 they played against Trinity.

As for the Manual game, I see X winning 34-0. Manual's offense isn't very good this year.

Man! Somebody pinch me! I think I'm dreaming!

We have a St.X Poster hammering the Tigers and a Trinity Poster taking up for them all in the same thread.

 How did this happen!

:scared: Spooky! Very Spooky! :scared:
