I still wish it were still Thursday before Apple Day (it lets me see two games that week)...

 

JC has thrown maybe six passes in the past three games and I can only remember three completions and two of them was for touch downs on wide open pass plays. Your figures are wrong and the intent of your posts are obvious. What a flat out dumb time to be starting this garbage. It's amazing how some people will put there own personal goals over the goals of a team. This is a non issue and I can promise you that.

I believe there was a scheduling conflict with JC's district games this year. I know there is nothing like the thursday night/friday morning after the apple bowl. God, where did the good times go?

You mean the good times when we used to lose the Apple Bowl on a pretty much yearly basis?

Well, I was debating on even predicting on this game. I will say that Central hangs 50+ on the Tigers. I am really curious to see if Paintsville can score on the first team "D" of Central. I think Coach Matney knows what he has in front of him in the way of a big district game coming up in a few weeks and I think he will get a comfortable lead and then let the younger kids play. He has already seen his share of injuries this year and I am sure he wouldn't want to see a player go down knowing he left them in too long. The season for Central goes way beyond the Paintsville game. We all know that emotions run high for the Paintsville game and why take a chance on getting a key player hurt in order to prove a point. So, I hope that both teams come out with no injuries but I also would like to see Central with another big win in the same fashion as the last two years.......Good luck Eagles....

This game isn't really the "Apple Bowl" any more. The game is taking place completely outside the week of the Apple Festival (Oct. 1 - Oct. 7).

 

With that said, a decision on the disposition of the "Apple Barrel" really does need to be made...

I don't care about embarrassing Paintsville. We need to remember that we are trying to build a class act program here.

 

What I do want to see are 3 things.

1. JC win the game!

2. Our kids play the very best game that they are capable of!

3. Have no injuries on both sides of the ball!

 

If we do all this and win by 1, I'll be happy, or if we win by 50. We just need to take care of business.

It will be back on Apple Week next year. This has happened before with the schedule rolling over.

True statement. But the good times I was refereing to was my high school days, we won 2 barrel 2 of the 4 years.
