What are people's opinion of Flynn if he is indeed wanting immunity?

 

Why would Trump tweet that is the right thing to do? Isn't immunity reserved for people who committed a crime?

 

Trump must be confidant that none of it will stick to him if he's telling him to get immunity and testify. Request for immunity generally comes from those that have done something and fear prosecution. In a few cases it will be requested when someone has a story to tell and doesn't want to scope of the investigation to grow and roll back on them later. If they could get it a lawyer would request it for every person that testifies for anything, :lol2:

Currently this thread is discussing the president's former NSA willing to testify against the administration if he gets immunity. I would try to deflect too.

So far, nothing of any substance on the Trump people and Russia.

So you don't think Flynn offering to testify against the Trump administration in exchange for immunity isn't anything substantial?

I'm not knowledgeable on international affairs and I've not been following the whole Russia story so please enlighten me.

 

1.)Someone exposed classified information to Russia?

 

2.)Is the the same type of claim about HRC using unsecured emails or are they saying it was deliberately communicated?

 

3.)They helped Trump win the election? How? Giving him money?

 

4.)Is it bad to have Russia as an ally? They are not the cold war monster they used to be.

1.) It's possible. We do know that General Flynn illegally spoke to Russia about lifting sanctions placed on them by Obama and he also lied to or misled VP Pence about his relationship with Russia and what he discussed. That is why Flynn resigned from the Trump administration. For now it appears there is an ongoing investigation into the Trump's administration and their Russian ties and some news outlets say the investigation began in July 2016. The FBI, House & Senate Intelligence committees are who is said to be investigating the Trump administration and their Russian ties.

 

2.) From what I have read everything points to deliberate communication with Russia with intent to win the election.

 

3.) From what I have read it is possible Russia is behind the hacking of the DNC and gave that information to the Trump administration in an effort to help win the election. However, it is important to note that as of today no one knows the truth and no one knows if there is an investigation taking place by our government. Some say there is others say there isn't and fake news is everywhere. We do know that members of congress have formed an investigation committee like they did for Benghazi and Hillary's emails and that Flynn has offered his testimony to them in exchange for immunity. As of now immunity isn't on the table for Flynn.

 

4.) I'm not sure. For the past 8 years everyone said Obama didn't have a spine when it came to Russia and now all of a sudden it appears like Russia could be controlling our POTUS and his administration and everyone seems fine with that so I'm kind of confused at this point.

I'm only responding to what has been reported and what Trump has said about those reports. If I am making a leap then Donald Trump is making the exact same leap.

There are, at best, conflicting stories of what was 'offered' or sought. Still say the Russians did not cause the longest lines ever at our voting place in November. And still not sure what 'influence' in elections means. Either someone hacked or not - and so far the only hackers of state's systems (including Kentucky's) seem to have come from the DHS under direction of the previous administration.

 

This whole subject seems to be a smoke screen without much smoke, much less fire.
