Trump is about one person and one person only. He doesn't do anything that isnt going to benefit him.

 

So the guy takes a job and turns down the salary, puts up with all this smearing and hate, lets his own business interests come under attack by democrats. Does all this and is fighting to bring the country back from weakness and he only cares about what is best for him. Sir, none of this has been what's best for him. Yet there he is doing it anyway.

I've always felt like Hillary and Trump are the two most self serving candidates in the history of our country. I have never felt like either of them truly care about Americans in a manner to run this country the way it needs to be ran.

Keep in mind the night Obama roasted him at the Correspondent's Dinner(ironic that Trump won't go as POTUS) is supposedly the night he decided he was going to run for POTUS. I think it would be different if Trump tried to act like a decent human being while running for POTUS. Unfortunately he has chosen to act in a manner that we have never seen from a leader and instead of everyone demanding that he be a more mature leader the people who do support him egg him on, enable him and demand he be himself. Donald Trump has shown zero redeeming qualities other than being a successful businessman and now a cunning politician. It's not like he is some fantastic person that people gravitate to. He is a man who uses his power to intimidate and bully people into doing what serves him best. So far his travel ban was a flop, the wall is in flux, Obamacare still lives and less than one month into his term he had two of his appointees caught in lies causing one to resign.

I am not sure anyone can match up the expectations here. But people do grativate toward Trump. And he has specific and provien and documentable track record of supporting and helping people. MR pointed out that his records of 'caring' was much better than HRC. Of that, there is no doubt.

They were both the worst two presidential candidates in my lifetime and I pray that we never have two candidates as bad as those two ever again. Saying one of them was better than the other doesn't register for me when they were both extremely awful. That's the best I can offer you without making a post that would incorrectly paint me as a Hillary supporter. I wish that we could once and for all get past the "he was better than Hillary" narrative when they are both at best equally awful people, candidates and have zero ability to care about anyone other than themselves.

It is just the way he talks About and explains things. Hearing the tone of his voice when he talks about issues makes me think he is sincere.

Very interesting exchange. This is the very reason we are in trouble deeper than most think. We have not shown the ability/want to stop things that are Federal law just because its government officials that are breaking these very laws( for instance in a lesser degree than whats going on here the officials who are upholding sanctuary cities).

 

There are some top level officials( whose party I will not mention here) that are operating in the best interest of their party, not the best interest of the United States. Who ever they are, they need jail. They need exposed. Will that happen? I doubt it. Why. Because the citizens when they see whats going on are gonna be really really upset and that will create major problems for the United States. We got some serious issues. No denying that.

If I was Obama I wouldn't refuse SS service. And nowhere did I say Obama wants to save us money. I just find it interesting at how Trump was one of the most vocal critics about Obama golfing but yet here is golfing at a higher pace and costing us way more money than Obama did at a faster pace. If he cared about America as much as come claim I would think he would dial that back.
