Louisville settled for way too many threes instead of doing what they are good at. Also, they didn't seem to adjust to Michigan's offensive halftime adjustments. They just didn't look very disciplined today.

 

They are not very disciplined, basketball smart or 5* talented. They played hard, had good depth and wanted to learn. Probably over-achieved from what could have been reasonably expected at the outset of the season. Both a fun and ultimately frustrating team to watch based on the above.

The problem was "Ich bin ein Berliner." UL could not stop him the second half, nor did UL's big men do much offensively the second half----but they might have been starved for the ball. I could easily be put into the camp that says Rick got outcoached. With all the switching, Wagner inevitably ended up with a little guy guarding him in the post, and he made the Cards pay. I know UL's strategy was to stop the 3's but if you're getting killed elsewhere, you've got to address that and hope the 3's don't get you. You've got to plug the bleeding wound.

Anyone notice Rick outside the locker room after the game getting interviewed? Seemed to be throwing Q under the bus for his D and not listening to him. Basically said the entire team didn't listen to him and was weak mentally.

I saw a few tweets about it, but never saw the actual comments. That's not ideal if so.

Says he isn't hiring an agent now and wants to go through the combine/workout process and keep his options open. Makes perfect sense. We'll have to see where he comes down.

Rick just said on R&R that Deng and Jaylen asked if they could do the same after Donovan said he was testing, and Rick said yes.
