Campbell County 64 Bracken County 59 (10th Region Semifinals)

Featured Replies

It was a valiant effort for the Polar Bears. Once Crawford tied it at 41 with that 40' three I thought maybe the momentum had shifted.

But then Bracken went on about a 4 minute span without a FG and a 60.9% effort from the line sealed our fate.

Reguardless I'm am so proud of all them boys the played with a ton of heart and leftbit all out there on the court and that's all we as fans could ask.

Credit Campbell Co as well. They took our best punch and fought back to regain the lead. Heygi played big at times and other times he was nonexistent. But he did make big shots at crucial point until fouling out in the 4th.

#44 sry can't remember him name rt now was big inside disrupting shots when he was in the floor. He too was saddled with foul trouble early and often.

Great team effort on both sides tonight. Was a great game. And the fans were out in full force on both sides. Great atmosphere at a pretty packed Fieldhouse. Best venue barr none for the regional tournament.

Bracken County must have played well, because I expected a blowout.

There are not moral victories this time of year

Nope

#15 Brady Jones played poorly in all 4 post season games. He didn't play with a chip on his shoulder and it cost Bracken County the 39th District Championship. If he showed up tonight and played aggressively Bracken probably beats Campbell.

Just for the record, I said Bracken couldn't win unless all 5 starters supported Crawford offesnively. Campbell ALMOST played poor enough for him to do it alone, but it's just impossible to carry a team to the 10th Region Championship game by yourself. It was fun and interesting while it lasted Polar Bears.

Best of luck to the seniors on their future endeavors.

My Polar Bears left it all out there tonight. Had some opportunities in the 4th. 60% from the stripe was our downfall.

Congrats to Campbell Co and good luck the rest of the way.

This and a couple of fairly late turnovers. But ultimately it was missed FTs by Bracken and Day for Campbell County draining them every time he stepped to the line.

Unless your name is Jake Ohmer.

Unless your name is Jake Ohmer.

Ohmer has a better supporting cast than Crawford does IMO, but tonight he proved without a shadow of a doubt that he was the best player in the Region. Not meaning any disrespect when I say this, but he's much much better than Cumberlands. Kid should be playing at a much higher level than that.

A little harsh @PistolPete4, this is a teenager you are bashing. I did not see any of the games you reference but I find it hard to believe that one player could cost a team as much as you claim. It is a team sport and very unfair of you to put this on him.

Bracken County battled valiantly.

Poor free throw shooting didn't help matters for the Polar Bears. I was surprised to read where they hit 60%.

It seems like every time Campbell County needed a big basket - they got one.

Hegyi a VERY QUIET 18.

I don't want to hear the words "supporting cast" ever again.

Thank you for that post. Sorry Brady couldn't live up to his standards.

You won't hear it next season. Those members of the supporting cast that don't graduate this year are being thrust into the leading role.
