8th Region Draw

Featured Replies

I would think that this is the worst draw that WV could have had. South is a very good team. Not saying that it can't happen because it can. Good luck to all the teams that made it to regional.

IMO first round winners: Williamstown, Oldham, Anderson, and South Oldham.

Really Williamstown and Gallatin game could go either way this will be the 4th time they have played this year with Gallatin winning 2 of 3.

tough draws for Collins and Walton-Verona. I really think it was a great draw for Oldham. Collins would be a tough draw and could still be but since their injuries they have not been the same team, Oldham will have a much easier semi final game than the potential Anderson/South Oldham game that could be a really good game which would be the late game and then have to come back the next night to play probably Oldham. So to me looks like Oldham got the best draw if they can get by Collins to open up Wednesday night.

With this draw I can see Anderson with the possibility of getting to the finals again. And if you can make it to the finals anything can happen. They are probably playing their best ball of the year right now, hopefully they can keep it for at least three more games.

Gallatin won by 5 at home, lost by 3 at Williamstown without Wilson after leading by 12 after the third quarter.

In the All A Gallatin won after trailing by 13 with 5:00 to play.

Williamstown and Gallatin will be a fantastic game.

I will be there Wednesday and Thursday and this is the game I'm most looking forward to. Gallatin is not a great team by any means, but are good and the Wilson kid can play. The 1 time I saw Williamstown was against Cov Cath way back in the beginning of the yr, so I expect them to be better.

I'll be pulling for WV, being the small school vs South Oldham. S.O. has won enough the last few yrs

I believe you sat a few rows in front of me last night.

Probably so, there were plenty of good seats available. Hit me up on here Wednesday and I'll come say whats up. Since I'm from across the river I'll adopt Gallatin as my team to root for since they're closest proximity to Indiana. Plus I have some buddies that work over @ NAS. Figured thats as good of a reason as any. Lol

All games broadcast on Pegasus Sports again this year. Pegasus has been covering the 8th region since 1979; we have been broadcasting every game in the boys' and girls' tournaments for nearly 20 years now. Looking forward to another really exciting tourney at the Roy!

The first round games will all be AUDIO ONLY, but Pegasus is looking at doing the semi-finals and finals on VIDEO.

All broadcasts begin 30 minutes prior to the first game of the night.

go to The Pegasus Sports Network - PSN

click on one of the school logos

click on the triangular "play" button when it appears on the "TV Screen"

The games will also be archived on the website indefinitely.

P.S. - I'm going to assume that we are defining "small school" as "all-A" school....last All-A team to win the boy's 8th region was Carroll County in 1972.

Where is the tournament being held?

Henry County High school.

It's always at Henry County.

That's what I thought just wasn't sure. I don't get out of the 10th Region much!
