February 16, 20179 yr How many times are we going to hear this? POTUS brought it up again today despite not being asked any question that would warrant such a response. Earlier this week he was asked at the joint press conference with Netanyahu about the issue of anti-Semitism he started immediately talking about the number of electoral votes. Besides it being a lie, does it tell us anything about him? Is it his go-to answer when he's uncomfortable ? Does he really believe it? Does he think no one can check the veracity? By itself it's just a silly lie but it does make me wonder what's going on in his head.

February 17, 20179 yr I just shock my head when I heard that also. Only thing he could have even partially been talking about would be the number of states he won, even then it's not the most since Reagan. He won the most states since G.W. Bush who won 30 and 31 states in his two elections...Trump won 30. Clinton also won more states than Trump with 33 and 32 states(and DC) voting for him. The only recent Presidents to be elected and win less states than Trump are Obama with 29 and 27 state wins including DC and Carter with 24 State (and DC) wins.
February 17, 20179 yr Maybe he meant to say that he won the most counties but got confused. I think he came out on top in that category by something like 2650-450. It's easy to get confused when one's got a lot on their agenda to worry about. You know, the Russians, cabinets, media, twitter battles with Arnold, the Wall, etc... However, he explicitly said most electoral votes since Reagan, but he might have meant counties. But after thinking about it further he might have been second in counties to Bush 1. Or maybe he just lied and didn't realize it.
