Trump is nuts and a classless freak, not to mention unqualified to be the President. It's painful as hell to listen to his zero rational rantings. He's an insult to the institution. The fact that people can't see this is perplexing, and it pleases me more than I can describe that life didn't lead me down whatever road it lead those down with Trump supporting mentalities. Yes there is most definitely a divided country with polar opposite mentalities, and I'm damned glad that I'm not eight up with what seems to naturally afflict so many others. If you can't see it there's absolutely nothing that I can say to make you. You can now use this as a launch to the high ground where it looks like I can't compromise. You're right, I'm not going to compromise with stupid. Life is too short to pretend that we meet eye to eye or can even come close to. I don't even care if that makes me sound unsociable for I'm not about to waste my time trying to shove a square into a circle. It would be nice to think that opposite minded people can get along, but it's just an idealistic notion and in the end it just turns into a childlike game of "I know you are but what am I?" Again I didn't quote the article and I already explained why I put it there. I dont need any moral high ground in this discussion. I just asked a question. You were ranting about Trump. Answering for myself only: His travel ban His attitude toward the media His tweeting to influence or shame individuals or entities Rolling back environmental protections None of thsee things are anything you or most anyone who voted for him would objet to. But they are things I disagree with. I reserve judgement on some things until they're better known As for his attitude about the media, I do think there are media that are biased. But his argument about fake news rings hollow when he uses fake facts and news in official communications. And Kellyanne...and Spicer... I honestly think that the press should just make sure that his communication is printed oenbroadcast without any analysis or editing fot time. Just set up a Trump channel and let it run his crap in real time. No analysis needed. You and those like you who voted for him will still think he's the 2nd coming of George Washington. The media will be able to have time to cover other news, like the job growth that's being promised, and all the economic prosperity. Go do an in depth series on that wall being built. Head up to coal country and watch those streams turn orange.

I love seeing them squirm. I did actually like his answer when they asked what he was going to do about the Russian ship and NK missile testing. Why would he tell the media when they would just run and then broadcast it to everyone across the globe? As for this claim, he needs to stop with the election garbage. It's idiotic and ridiculous. Oh, and the tweeting. Someone needs to hide the man's social media passwords.

I don't find he is alone in his approach to matters that don't fit his narrative though. I deal with it on a daily basis. People take something that happened once, or at least a minority of times, and present that as if it is the norm. In his case (in particular) as a whole, there is no need to make anything up. And again, if he wants to take on the media for misrepresenting his administration, one would think they would fight it with factual facts. But they have coined "alternative facts", and he blatantly uses falsehoods as facts himself. How can one cheer him on for "taking on the media" when he's not even close to above anything he accuses them of?
