Any one have an idea why coach Matney doesn't report the teams stats to the KHSAA web site?

I haven't seen all the backs in the region yet, but Byron Bragg is by far the best I've seen. Like Rasputin says, he gets his yards without being the total offense. He also catches well out of the backfield and can motor. I haven't seen his stats since week 3 but they were very impressive then.

Matt Thomas, hands down. He also has the most potential of anyone in the region.

I'm tryin not to be bias here but so far Matt Thomas has impressed me the most, at least when compared to Grimm, considering who JC has played so far this year compared to Ashland's competition so far.

My vote goes to Francis. Especially if there is a free buffet to the one with the most yards.

I'm probably gonna have to side with Thomas with the way he has been running lately. He had terrible games against Raceland and Belfry but hasn't looked back since the Russell game. Grimm is a great back too and is right behind Thomas imo.

Of course he has impressed you the most cause he is probably the only back that you have seen. Thats why I wont say that Grimm is the best, their are alot of other good backs around the region that many of us havent seen so it is unfair of us to say which is the best without seeing them all.

Grimm at JC is by no means the only back used. He's only averaging about 15-17 carries a game. The coaches try to be very balanced.

The top 2 leading rushers in this region aren't even mentioned.

Brandon Willis (PCC) with 645 yards and Dusty Miller (Rock) with 570 yards.

Matt Thomas thru 4 games is averaging 12.5 carries at roughly 8 yards a carry.

I'm not saying he's better than any one besides the ones JC has played. That is all I have seen play. Grimm runs very hard, but he also has a very good line to run behind. A good friend of mine who has saw Ashland play told me today Thomas is a very good back. From what I have read on other threads the only time we will get to see the other players in our reagion(other than our district) is if we are fortunate to get to the regional finals. That is why I started the thread so we could get a few names to watch for that we ordinarily wouldn't hear about.

This is a good question.... Someone answer this.

He's close to, if not over, 1100 yards on the season now.
