Johnson Central vs. Boyd County Predictions

Featured Replies

Depending on the weather... this game could have a crowd of 5,000 or better. Something tells me that JC will be 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the district when this game is over.

Johnson Central 42-13.

I think that BC wins this game. JC has a last second field goal go "WIDE RIGHT" that could of sent the game into OT.

Good luck LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

This isnt the thread for that game... BUT, you and your tomcats wait until October 20th! :fight:

5,000 or better, the whole stadium only holds 3500 people.

5,000 is a lot of people for a regular season game.

The Natives that are restless, will be restless no matter if Lou Holtz was coaching. They have some reality issues that just cant be resolved. Unfortunately the natives that are mostly adding fuel to the fire are still going to be around a couple more years.

With all that said, there still are a good group of parents that support the program, but a few bad apples too.:D

Good Luck to the Lions!

Did we not have the same issue in basketball, this is Deja Vu!

Well you have your opinion but I have two comments:

1.) This game will not come down to a last second field goal, JC will have this game in hand by halftime.

2.) JC and Ashland face off on Oct. 20th, so Ill hold my comments of that game til then, but remember you arent playing in the friendly confinds of Putnam Stadium this year.

Well, not really, because the main argument in Basketball was the issue of Owens transferring in and a little controversy over that, which I believe anyone should be allowed to play, irregardless whether they are at Ramey Home or not.....Imagine what our season would have been like if not having Owens!

This football deal is a bit different, even different from last years deal. We now have parents that consistently argue about their son's playing time, when other BC kids that have been in BC schools all their Life are playing ahead of them. Sad part is that the kids playing ahead of theirs are older and better, that is what confuses me. Everyone is calling for a QB change, but we are using our best option. Everyone wants one of our RB's to be the QB, but why do that, then we have a weaker running game.....Of course some of them complaining probably wants the RB to be the QB, so their son can get some playing time at RB:sssh: :sssh: :sssh:

Evans is doing just fine, everyone just needs to get off of his back or our BC Crazies will run another good coach off......Who in the world would want the job????

Thanks RedBlood, I hope everyone gives Lee Evans a chance. He knows what he is doing. Good Luck to your Lions this week. :thumb:

I agree with you in some areas for sure especially about the parents and the playing time. Thing is what good is a hot runner if you don't have anything to go with it. I'm hope'n Evans looks at the boys as individuals and uses his own judgement next year in how he picks his teams positions and doesn't let anyone fog his choices. And from what I've been seeing on JV games his line is getting weaker and weaker as they come up.

Only time will tell how good a coach Evans will truely be but I'd like to see him build a real football program at boyd something they've been missing for a long time. I think he alienated alot of parents right off the top when he had them sign contracts that they wouldn't cause a scene at games or thier kid would sit the bench. You should never let the parents smell fear lol.

Looks like another long season in Cannonsburg.

I hear from some parents that the natives are already restless.

Can anyone comment on this?

When aren't the natives in Boyd restless would be a better notion to ponder. And why are they always this way?

I think it's time to bring in professionals.:sssh:

yes it is..... but this is a JC and boyd district game

Everyone loves to watch the eagles play....the fire works are something else and canon to

go eagles

Boyd didn't seem to have that big of a crowd this past Friday. May have been an illusion due to all the Burg people I was looking at. I doubt seriously they get a big Boyd turnout unless people just really are into seeing a big time loss. To far for most of them to drive just to see the first teams go at it. Best part of the game will be 4th quarter when the 2nd teams go at it.

WYMT estimated the Apple Bowl crowd last year at 6000-7000, if I remember correctly. There was a lot of standing room only that game. You'd also have to believe the WYMT estimate, but I don't doubt that it was well over listed seating capacity for that game.
