Johnson Central vs. Boyd County Predictions

Featured Replies

5,000 or better, the whole stadium only holds 3500 people.

There is alot of room to stand around the track, over by the restrooms, were the cannon crew is and over by the grill. Come on, there is more than 3500 people at graduation.

WYMT estimated the Apple Bowl crowd last year at 6000-7000, if I remember correctly. There was a lot of standing room only that game. You'd also have to believe the WYMT estimate, but I don't doubt that it was well over listed seating capacity for that game.

I believe this estimate because they were lined up around the track because this was the Apple Bowl and the crowd was huge. There wasn't a seat left until the middle of the third quarter if you no what I mean.;)

I'm just going by the stadium capacity that the school lists to the KHSAA. It lists the capacity it as 3500. Here's the link.

Honestly Czar, how many people do you think will be there friday night? So the stadium hold 3500 people, if the stadium gets to crowded, people can always come stand around the track.

I don't know how many but I know there won't be an Apple Bowl crowd. In my opinion we may see around 5000+ for the Ashland game though. I just don't think you'll see that type of crowd for the Boyd game. Now if I'm wrong I'll be the first to tell you so.

Well, not really, because the main argument in Basketball was the issue of Owens transferring in and a little controversy over that, which I believe anyone should be allowed to play, irregardless whether they are at Ramey Home or not.....Imagine what our season would have been like if not having Owens!

This football deal is a bit different, even different from last years deal. We now have parents that consistently argue about their son's playing time, when other BC kids that have been in BC schools all their Life are playing ahead of them. Sad part is that the kids playing ahead of theirs are older and better, that is what confuses me. Everyone is calling for a QB change, but we are using our best option. Everyone wants one of our RB's to be the QB, but why do that, then we have a weaker running game.....Of course some of them complaining probably wants the RB to be the QB, so their son can get some playing time at RB:sssh: :sssh: :sssh:

Evans is doing just fine, everyone just needs to get off of his back or our BC Crazies will run another good coach off......Who in the world would want the job????

I'm not sure who you're talking about, because I have not heard anyone, except for a couple people on here asking for a QB change. Coach Evans has everyone in the position's where they help the team the most. Let's let the coach's do the coaching.

IMO the biggest crowd JC will see all year will be the Greenup County game. JC should be coming in 7-0, it is friday night of apple day, Paintsville is open that week, alot of alumni will be back in town and there isnt that much to do on apple day after the sun goes down. Who doesnt want to watch a good high school football game?

I can see this happening.

Ummmm, I believe that is what I said....

Does anybody know the injury report for JC? I know J.K. is out, who else is out and who is back this week?

Sounds like most of Johnson Central's population is turning out for this one. Don't count on a big boyd show unless they totally have nothing else to spend money on.

Johnson Central was that way for 3 years. During that stretch of going 5-25, the visiting team had bigger crowds than JC did. Thank God that has those days are over.

Another reason you don't see very many people on here actually saying the truth and how they really feel. Too afraid of loosing a chance for the running time.

Yea well if people from Boyd is honest they should have seen this coming from the middle school level. JC's team has been building since these kids were in middle school.

Boyd's too busy thinking the offense wins games. If they don't get the defense lined up Boyd's going to be down for a good while.

I agree with the middle school statement. Johnson County Middle School is one of the best feeder schools in the state. And they have been since it was formed in the mid 90's. Matney has been the only one to keep the intrest and keep the success going on into the high school level.
