Sorry but to me the atmosphere means a lot more than parking. The Fieldhouse is just too big.

As long as I don't have to look through plexy glass to watch a game I'm good where ever it is.

Besides parking, no one has named a valid reason for Bracken County to host the District Tournament. And the parking problem has a solution.

But seriously why not do it like the 38 district does it, seperate the girls and boys championship.

I'm not a fan of this. I'd say especially when both teams play in both games that this wouldn't be good.

I know some districts do this and I think its a great idea!

Because in some cases (like last year) attendance for a St. Pat/Mason County finals wouldn't be very good. But that would also bring more money.

Just remember freezing to death in line last year for 30 minutes waiting for door to open. Got there early on purpose to avoid the terrible parking issues and to get a decent seat. All these people kept walking past line and were admitted before doors opened. But, rest of us orderly awaited as instructed, and candidly were concerned for our old people's health. Was about 30th in line when doors opened and found about 500 people in gym ahead of me. Had no idea what their special treatment was about. Totally turned me off as to District game management at the Igloo.

Snapshot of this board and society in general. We all draw conclusions, having little to no idea as to details as to why.

It's also an unfair advantage for Mason County to play at Fieldhouse every year. It being one of the hardest gyms to adjust to shooting wise. There's no backdrop behind the goals and and messes with depth perception and takes a while to get used to.

Also your team hosting district/region can be used to develop an interest in basketball. As a little kid going to a game seeing all the people in the gym, wouldn't that make you want play in front of all these people?

The host school gets 100% of the concessions. The host school also gets $1,800 for hosting.

I think EVERYTHING needs to be split between the 4 schools.
