More than 90 arrests so far.

That is a great start. Anybody who throws a brick or large chunk of concrete at a police officer deserves a felony conviction and some time in a prison cell. Too often violent protesters are treated like trout in a catch and release fishing expedition. Authorities should never pass up an opportunity to jail violent criminals.

They are also throwing glass bottles. Personally, I think an attack on a police office should be met with swift and immediate retaliation.

Keep making fools of yourselves.

Outstanding analogy...

The police are showing way too much restraint in dealing with violent demonstrators. Officers should be allowed to respond to rioters hurling bricks and chunks of concrete at them with tear gas and water canons. I hope that a large number of the violent protesters spend a few nights in a DC jail, but I am afraid that they will escape unscathed and free.

 

I can't say for sure if this is true but I trust my buddy and maybe some of the LE on here can chime in. But my buddy works in LE for a federal agency, and he said local LE are held to much more constraints. If you are a Federal agent someone throws a rock you swoop in , arrest and it is a felony. An example being the Secret Service or the FBI , protestors throw rocks at them there all in jail facing serious crimes. When done to local LE in a mass protest like this it isn't worth it unless something serious happens because of potential charges.

I've heard conflicting opinions: Were these demonstrators (or some goodly portion of them) paid to so demonstrate?

Think of it this way, Local Law Enforcement are mostly Frontline Troops, the Feds are Generals.

These "protesters" who are being destructive and terrorizing police and military make me sick. Disgusting people.
