Paris 64 Bracken County 52 All A 10th region Championship game

Featured Replies

Not so fast. You beat a middling Bracken County team. Ohmer and Scott a tougher out.

Paris played In the same Christmas tourney at Catholic w Scott..if I'm not mistaken Scott exited stage left real early to the losers bracket...The team that beat Scott (South Laurel) got beat by Fayette, Ga...Paris goes on to beat Fayette, Ga...before beating A Ga team and Henry Clay...lose to Catholic at home and controlled the game til the last 3 mins...loss to Layfayette n the final 4 of Traditional Bank Holiday Tournamnet ..worst game Paris has played...not interested at all...what I'm getting at is how is Scott strength of schedule tougher? Those side county teams that Scott plays can't match the likes of Scott Co..Clark Co..Henry Clay...Lafayette...Mercer Co...Bryan Station...Corbin..Catholic...possibly face LCA in the All A state tourney...come on man.

And Campbell isn't the same team that got beat by bracken. I think Paris Scott and Campbell have separated themselves from the rest of the 10th..

Concur 100%. Clark Co. starting to be a very interesting player in the 10th. Could be pretty competitive by tourney time. Got to see them soon.

Agree with that as well.

They're better a year early than expected, I would assume because of Josh Cook. Had over 75 kids try out.

jozey...you've been pleading (dare I say begging) for respect for two years now. You've got a very nice team. No need to keep stating your case. Keep winning, and the respect will come.

Best of luck to you and the Hounds. Enjoy the ride.

Scott lost to South Laurel in the first round of the Lex Cath tournament. Second time this season they lost to SL (one of the best teams in the state and that also beat Cov Cath) after that loss they won 3 games in 3 days against two region contenders (Muhlenberg and Sheldon Clark) and Manual. Then proceeded to go on and win three straight against two NKY rivals (Simon Kenton and Holmes) and a tough Boone County. So your statement is wrong, Scott should be ranked above Paris due to Strength of Schedule. Unfortunately we do not have a measure to rank these two teams against eachother because they only time they'd see eachother is the Regional tourney.

Amen and just plain common sense

Bracken is showing a level of toughness not seen in Brooksville in a long time!

This may be for the best as it will further fuel their hunger for post season success!

Bracken at worst should be 18-10 by tournament time. They only have 3 teams with winning records on their remaining schedule and the rest are all 10+ points gimme wins easy. Now how this translates into district preparedness I don't know but with Mason losing Garrison I have to think other than it being at Mason it's as weak as district ever. I'd say it's Bracken's to lose at this point. 37th district is #1, 40th #2, 38th # 3 and 39th #4 . Carpe diem Polar Bears it doesn't get any easier than this.

40th is really close second. And huge change in the 39th from last year. Augusta and Mason regional finals in which Bracken lost Augusta in 2OT and Mason by 5 and 6. Bracken desperately needs a district title.

Whats common sense ? Paris and Scott both played in the same tournament and Scott was in the losers bracket second night..Paris makes it to the final 4..for Paris to reach final four means they had to beat a team that beat Scott ...Paris doesn't play all those Hickory Hoosier type teams so their schedule doesn't matter I suppose? Majority of those teams you named in the tournament played in that gym around the corner in the losers bracket none played center court...by the way Paris played 5 games in 5 nites w 200 enrollment. We know some aren't used to Paris making noise...but as long as bgp don't ban me I'm go in to educate you guys about these 2017 Greyhounds.

Clicked the like and thanks button on that last post. Always good to see small schools succeed and make the big guys mad. @jozey72

Although many won't want to hear it, this is absolutely correct. PBs have one of the top 3 talents in the region along with very capable senior role players. They have a proven coach. They have shown that they can play with anyone on any given night.

And right now, they have a terribly weak district in which to succeed. The stars are aligned.

Yep.
