Of the sub places Subway is way down the list. Jersey Mikes is probably my favorite. But I would probably lean Subway just because its convenient or used to be at least. I haven't non-breakfast from McD's in forever because its just not that good, but their breakfast is the bomb. McGriddles are heaven in food form. But I would go Subway for variety purposes only and I feel a little better about myself after eating there.

McDonalds for 2 reasons. Diet Coke is like crack. They serve breakfast all day. I'd rather eat a turd than one of their burgers. I'm not opposed to Subway. But the crack is at McDs

Anybody remember McDonald's McDLT sandwich? That thing was fantastic.

 

As to this thread, I'm a little surprised Subway is winning.

There's not a better Coke anywhere in the world outside of McDonald's.

Don't even get me started about how all the Subways are gone in GC now. You never know how much you'll miss something until its gone.

 

They were part of my payday routine. If someone were interested in robbing me at my richest, they could catch me while my meatball sub was being toasted. In that respect, good riddance I guess.

I'm not sure the Subway cashier by the Hayloft even speaks English? He usually just grunts. It might be me though! :lol2:

 

 

Same with the guy at the Covington Mainstrasse location. It's been increasingly a turn off to go there mainly based on their employees alone. I generally have been fine with Subway over the years, but that location seems to be steadily spiraling downward.

2 words: French. Fries.

I prefer Jimmy John's and most other sub chains over Subway, but any sub shop beats McDonalds, IMO.

Both stink, but it's McDonald's 10 out of 10. I have no love for Subway's bread and lettuce "sandwiches."

For the sake of keeping fast food as inexpensive as possible I always do the online survey that's on the back of the McD's receipt, and though it says it's good for either a buy one get one free Quarter Pounder, or a buy one get one free Egg McMuffin, most McDonalds will honor it for just about any large sandwich.

 

From my buy one get one free purchase I get another receipt and start the process all over again.

 

I almost never go to McD's without one of these completed receipts, and if I do I just order from the dollar menu, keep the receipt and do it again.

 

If I go through the drive through and they forget to ask for the survey receipt, I just hang on to it to use it again next time around... and they often times will forget.

 

Same at Wendy's... survey gets you $2 off any large sandwich or salad.

 

I never go to either McD's or Wendy's without a completed receipt, and because those two restaurants have the best ongoing deal like this, it's where I'll eat most of the time.

 

Burger King has a similar deal with a free Whopper, but you have to purchase fries and a drink with it. Still not bad, but I hate their fries and I typically just get a free water where ever I go.

 

Occasionally White Castle will have a survey that gets you two free sliders, but not very often.

 

I like Subway but won't go there unless I have a coupon or they're offering a real good deal. Too expensive to eat there regularly.

 

Selective as well as to which one I'll go to because the one in the Covington Mainstrasse for example sucks. The one in Latonia is fine and the Covington Riverfront location is o.k. too. I like Jimmy Johns better though.

Subway is a rip off for what you get.
