I know you can't wait to light this projection and post up. The above stats are my projections of Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens without steroids. I have come around to being ok with Bonds getting in the HOF because as the above stats show, he would have clearly made the HOF without steroids. I am also glad it is taking this long for him to get in because of the way he handled his whole steroids use saga. It is similar in a number of ways to Pete Rose's handling of admitting his gambling use. Roger Clemens is not as clear cut a HOF player as Bonds without steroids. I think he would still eventually get in. He had three Cy Young awards before steroids. And my projected stats might be a little low on him. But, if you look at his stats, his career was in a slide for four years then suddenly it takes off again. Add in the fact that it is pretty obvious Clemens is a complete liar on steroids and I have no problem with him never getting into the HOF.

I wasn't the only one that questioned why you were using fictitious stats, but by all means continue painting it as such. You can use whatever metrics or projections you want. Both players were and are Hall of Fame worthy.

I know you weren't the only one but I also know you don't care about steroids use so I figured you would totally discount any questioning of the steroids "Roses" and their stats. The purpose of the projections was to make an educated guess on the worthiness of those two for the HOF without steroids.

January 19, 20179 yr The baseball writers association is a joke. They still have the dumb thing where no one has gotten in with 100% of the vote. So when Griffey Jr. and Jeter are eligible they won't get the unanimous vote. Like what kind of moron leaves those 2 guys off their ballot. The baseball HOF is a joke. But in the end it's kind of a silly reason to hate the sport on your part. Griffey Jr got in last year, and no it wasn't unanimous.

Next year they are making them public so in my opinion if somebody should get 100% of the vote like Jeter, he will because whoever doesn't vote for him will get scrutinized. Like the one person that didn't vote for Griffey wont revel who he is because everybody will rag on him.

January 19, 20179 yr Griffey Jr got in last year, and no it wasn't unanimous. That's right I forgot he was already in. Shows how much the baseball HOF means to me and I'm a fairly big baseball fan. But the fact that he wasn't unanimous. He played in the heart of the steroid era and was the biggest star of the era to never be accused of using PED's that's a joke that he wasn't unanimous.
January 19, 20179 yr I will never take the HOF serious until Pete is in. I know that's not a HOF decision right now, but when you have one of the three greatest hitters to ever play left out how can you take it serious. But that topic has probably been beat to death on here.
January 19, 20179 yr Griffey missed it by 3 votes, but I believe all three who didn't vote for him are known. I believe you are correct about them being known.
January 20, 20179 yr ^ I got one of them...but the other one, not so much...was Murphy the 1st one? First one was David Ortiz, but the numbers were only through 2014 so it wasn't accurate.
